Resolutions, Simplified
Are you recharged and ready for a fresh start with the new year? If you are like 92% of the population, chances are you will not achieve your New Years resolution. While loosing weight, quitting smoking, and getting organized weighed in as top resolutions for 2012, consider joining a third of the population who opt for a relationship-based committment.* And... keep it simple. In the words of the wise Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" Simple ways to commit to deeper relationships can include:

CSU Extension's 4-H
CSU Extension's 4-H meets the needs of and engages young people in positive youth development experiences through project work and club activities. For a decade, Tufts University has been working with faculty at land-grant universities to conduct The 4-H Study of Positive Youth Development. This in-depth, longitudinal study (2002-2012) has discovered that the structured learning, encouragement and adult mentoring that young people receive through their participation in 4-H plays a vital role in helping them achieve future life successes. The study indicates that young people in 4-H report better grades, and are nearly two times more likely to plan to go to college than their peers. 4-H-ers show significantly lower drug, alcohol and cigarette use, and are 2.3 times more likely to exercise and be physically active when compared with youth that do not participate in 4-H. For more information or to sign up, contact the Extension Office: (970) 328-8631 or email Jenny Wood More information on the local Extension available HERE and on Colorado 4H HERE.
