JOB FOLLOW UP
Made by Etienne DUBARRY This document has been made for people who are looking for a job, and help them organize their search. As you should know, the follow up on any job application is one of the most important part to be selected. Recruiters are always waiting for you to remember who they are, when you applied, to what job you applied, what did you talk about last time, ... . I recommend not to put to many sentences, but the keywords that you want to remember. With this document in front of you when a recruiter calls you, or before going to an interview, you will be able to remember what happened on this specific application.

How to fill the document?

FIRST OF ALL, DONT FORGET TO DELETE SAMPLE DATA Fill in the "Companies" tab. This tab allow you to record all the company information, its name, location, activity and if you want its Fill in the "Contacts" tab. In this tab, select the name of the company in the first column list, then write down all the information about your contact in the company. If you applied without contact, just put "Company name - Generic" and any contact information you have (email, phone, ...) Once contact information is filled, YOU NEED TO SORT THE LIST BY CONTACT NAME using the sort option on the column filter. NOT DOING SO MAY CAUSE MALFUNCTIONS IN THE ACTION TAB. Fill in the "Actions" tab. This is the main tab of your search. Each time you're having a communication with a company, you need to create a new line in this table, with the date of your communication and the action you did at this time. In the "Contact name" column, just select the name you filled in the "Contacts" tab, the company will be automatically selected. You can also fill in the "To do actions" column to remind you of what action you have to do following the current one. You should set a date to this "To do action" in the "Deadline" column wich will automatically be green if you still have time, orange if it's the day to to it, and red if you passed the deadline. In the "Progress" column list, you can select "Current" to express that you are currently working on this action, but there is no need to create a new line. Once your action is done, you should select "Done" in the "Progress" list. In the "Comments" field, do not hesitate to write all necessary information you would like to remind (like :

How to use the document?
Any time you need to know what happened with your application in a company, you just have to filter the list by company name. Then, if you had several contacts in this company, you can filter by contact to know what happened with this contact in particular. If you applied to several positions in the company, you can also filter by the position to see what you did and what you need to do.
