JOB LEAD TRACKER By Cindy Moskalyk   Anyone in career transition can appreciate the need for a simple, yet comprehensive tool to help organize the many tasks associated with a job search. Given follow-up on the status of any job application or networking lead is critical to a successful job search, automated colour coding on the status of key items has been added to this document to allow  for quick identification of any incomplete tasks. Also, since recruiters expect you to remember who they are, which job you applied for, when you applied, and deta ils of past conversations, you need the ability to find this information quickly so filters have been embedded in this tool for you. This document was prepared to assist  Job Seekers: - Summarize networking leads and key contacts contacts along with their interactions - Provide easy access to all relevant job application information - Document the status of a job application from the initial submission submission to final outcome including completed tasks as well as itemizing next steps with target dates - Capture information on the hiring managers and/or recruiters for each job application, where available

How to complete the document? BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Remember to clear the sample data (blue font) by deleting the top rows on each sheet. Step 1 : Fill in the "Contact Leads" tab. ~ This tab allow you to record all pertinent information obtained for each networking lead or key contact relevant to your job search. Record contact details, current actions along with your next steps. Save time by using bullet points instead of full sentences to highlight key words you want to remember. Step 2 : Fill in the "Job Applications " tab. ~ This is the main tab for your job search which summarizes background on the job application, status updates, along with information information on the hiring manager. Record job application details, and update status of a ctions taken along with next steps. Where hiring manager and/or recruiter information is available, capture contact details along with any interactions. Save time by using bullet points instead of full sentences to highlight key words you want to remember. Step 3 : Update fields on tabs, where applicable, to keep information current.

How to use the document?
