No Wednesday Night Supper or Prayer Meeting– June 22
VBS will be our focus that evening. You may come to observe
that night, or better still, call Stacey to volunteer now.
Quarterly Church Conference– Wednesday, June 29
Committee Chair: come prepared with your report that evening.

MIGRANT MINISTRY SUMMARY
Thanks to all who have helped with the Migrant
Ministry this year. Many of you have:
Donated clothing, made cash contributions, sorted and
carried clothes to the mission sites, handed out Gideon
Bibles, fed Emory and Mercer University medical
students and Georgia Baptist Dental Team members, fed
and welcomed translators and countless other unseen but
effective ministries. As of Wednesday afternoon, the
teams have seen approximately 400 migrants and given
them physical and spiritual care. God bless you for
serving.

SAINTS ALIVE
Thanks to our Saints Alive Choir for sharing last Sunday
night. In spite of folks ill or traveling out of town, many of
you were faithful to share. Dr. Ernest Purcell is checking into
the possibility of us sharing some of our music soon at
Eldorendo Baptist Church, where he serves as interim. Keep
watching this column for details, in case we get the invitation
before we meet again in the fall.

PARENT NIGHT– NEW DAY & TIME We are changing our
Parent Night to Thursday, June 23rd at 8 pm. There will be NO
activities on Friday. We believe this will be more family friendly!
PARENT NIGHT DONATIONS We would like to serve cookies and
Capri Suns to our parents and children on Parent Night, THURSDAY,
JUNE 23 @ 8 PM. If you would like to help, we are asking that you
bring baked cookies to the Youth Building on that THURSDAY. We
will take donations until 5:30 pm that day. Also, we are asking for Capri
Suns for dinner each night and for Parent Night. Capri Suns can be
dropped off in the library from now until June 23rd.
CLEAN UP CREW We are asking everyone that is able to help us
clean up on Thursday, June 23rd at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will
spread out from there until time for Parent Night. Those who would like
to go to Parent Night may then exit to participate while others finish up
the last little bit from their rooms. Our goal will be to clean all the
decorations out of the Shell Annex and Education Building. Thank you!
CHANGE WAR Our change war is back! And it is boys vs. girls. I
hope you will find all your loose change and participate. Buckets for
donations will be located in the Youth Building during the week of
VBS. All offering will go towards the Georgia Baptist Children's Home.
CHANGE COUNTERS We are in need of change counters during the
days of Tuesday-Friday mornings to assist in counting our offering. If
you can participate, we will meet in the church library at 10 am each
morning.

I’m a Christian Now! Sunday Nights @ 6:30
We will begin a Bible Study for any child age 1st-5th grade who has
professed Jesus as Savior. Baptism is not a pre-requisite. It is a great
jump start for any kiddo to learn the basics of Christian faith. The lessons
do build, but the core content can stand alone. Don't let missing one or
two deter from the entire study! Meeting dates are: June 26 and July
10, 17, 24, 31
Workbooks will need to be ordered for each child. Please be sure to
notify Stacey or the office by June 24 if your child will participate.
Thanks!
Stacey

Six Flags
Thursday, July 7th we will be taking a day trip
to Six Flags in Atlanta. Be sure to sign up for
this trip by June 22nd. The cost for the trip is
$35 for admission to the park and then any
other expenses you incur such as meals and
souvenirs, etc. The deadline to turn in money
for your ticket is Wednesday, June 22nd.
VBS
Vacation Bible School begins next Monday.
This is one of the biggest outreach events we
do all year as well as being probably the
biggest mission opportunity for our church.
During VBS we will have the opportunity to
share the gospel with so many people in our
community. Be praying for the soil to be
ready for the seed that will be planted. Stacey
has done a tremendous job getting us ready for
this week so let’s all jump on board and find a
place to serve!!
Blessings,
Jeff
