Introduction
PROPOSAL TO USE 100 HECTARES OF LAND AT LEKKI FOR A WORTHY UNIVERSITY CAUSE We are a group of professionals involved in the setting up of the Kingscross University, Ifon, Ondo State. However, having become acquainted with the availability of your land in a oprime area of Lagos, we feel that having a university with with such worthy vision as our proprietors possess located within Lagos is a very good option assuming that our idea is acceptable to you, sir. We are hoping to have your location as the proposed "hub" for our university project, particularly for the school of Business, investment and strategy.

The Need
Years of research and assessment of education in Nigeria have revealed that the quality of education has seriously declined in most of the tertiary institutions in the last few years to such an extent that no Nigerian university featured among the 1000 universities in the world. This provides a picture of how Nigerian universities stand in terms of quality of academic programs, resources, funding, students' source and graduates who form the indices of the output of these universities. In addition to the above situation, is the fact that the number of universities in Nigeria are not enough and do not have the capacities to accommodate a good percentage of prospective students seeking admission to these institutions each year. More importantly and seriously, is the current trend in the world today. Propelled by this inspiration for Christian ideals and educational spirit of truth, goodness, righteousness and the beauty of life, the establishment of a university that will dedicate itself to producing wise and well-balanced intellectuals through a strong reconciliation of the Christian traditions, academic ideals and realities of life in a unit-whole becomes necessary.

Identity Statements
THE CORPORATE IMAGE STATEMENT “A centre for excellence, where quality education is combined with leadership training and character building within the framework that ensures the knowledge of God as the foundation for successful living” THE VISION STATEMENT “To be a world-class Christian Institution, the hub of great men and women of integrity, who will lead the way to producing a society of honest, truth and peace-making individuals” THE CORE VALUES u Fear of God and Christian ideals u Commitment to service u Accountability and integrity u Tradition of research and intellectual excellence u Innovation and sustainability

Proposed Faculties and Program structure
Each faculty will be structured to meet the current and projected needs of the society. Besides, in order to promote research and disseminate knowledge gains from there, the university will foster cooperation between academic and the industrial communities of the country and beyond. To make the courses unique and relevant, the university will plan its courses in close consultation with employers – users of the end products and accreditation bodies in commerce, industry, the world of art and design, the financial services industries, Christian and other professional bodies. This approach is intended to yield courses that are of direct relevance to the needs of the workforce and ensure high quality. The programs of the Faculty will be devoted to training creative and professional intellectuals for the society with skills required for sustaining. effective living in the 21st century. Specialties in today's emerging and cutting-edge business sectors will be offered. Our Strategy - Management & Governance
To acquire internationalism, the governing body of the university, staff and students shall be drawn from across the nations of the world. The university will therefore not only uphold the highest academic standard, it will gather together great men and women whose combined wisdom, experience and high spiritual qualities will give the university the wherewithal to train the great minds who will be leaders and be truly upstanding citizens of the world with multicultural sensitivity , global competence and humane character. GOVERNING COUNCIL To maintain standard and ensure high quality management of the university, a Governing Council comprising high calibre of people in various endeavours of life shall be appointed from the nations of the world. With the blessing of the internet around us, it would not be difficult to draw council members from the following countries: Britain – 3, USA – 3, India – 3, Germany – 1, South Africa – 2, Egypt – 1, Japan – 1, Austria – 1, Ghana – 2, Australia – 2, Ukraine-1 and Nigeria – 6.

Our Strategy - Staff
One of the key issues in achieving our mission is to secure a first grade level of academic staff, who are serious minded and committed to quality teaching, research and services in their various fields of specializations. To secure this calibre of staff, we would look beyond the boundaries of Nigeria. Therefore, the intention is to draw a good percentage of the academic staff from other nations of the world such as; Britain, USA, India, Australia, Austria and other English-speaking communities of the world. This was the strategy adopted by the operators of the first generation universities in Nigeria that yielded high indices of reputation of quality for those universities. This strategy must be maintained for a long period (at least ten to fifteen years) during which a new breed of quality staff would have been trained and developed in the system from among the graduates of the university. This crop of staff would conveniently fill any gap that may exist as a result of the exit of the foreigners. However, it is intended that through institutional linkages and other exchange programs, staff from other universities would continue to feature on the staff list of the university.

Our Strategy - Students
The university will be committed to developing the potentials of the individual student. To achieve this goal, the university will work to facilitate student-teacher interaction, strengthen individual and enhance teambuilding. Diversity and varied learning and social experiences will be offered to the students. This action will no doubt lead to their educational enrichment that will guarantee their success particularly in the new world of formidable tasks and responsibilities. Such success will be the trade mark of having passed through Kingscross University. A very important issue is the environment. The university will offer an environment that will inspire students to grow, learn and reach beyond the ordinary.

Our Strategy - Academic Programs & Linkages
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS In line with current global trends, Kingscross University will seek to develop a robust virtual learning system that will support a vast number of online and distance learning courses for both part-time as well as full time students. This will lead to less demand on our physical infrastructure and easing the need for relocation for prospective students, as the avenue for e learning is made available for interested students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In tune with this, we will develop distance learning centers across the nation and in some select African countries (run in conjunction with other institutions of higher learning in those countries) where lectures, examinations as well as remote experimentation can be carried out in a cost effective manner. Thus our desire of bringing Godly, qualitative education to as many persons as possible is truly accomplished. LINKAGES Each faculty with its programs will run a linkage with reputable institutions around the world.

Proposed Infrastructure
Necessary project infrastructure requirements are quite numerous. On a global assessment, they include:

Our hope is to have a compact university with mega faculties and aesthetic environment.
