Have you ever imagined staying aboard a beautiful Yacht
for your Honeymoon or an intimate wedding ceremony?
Or having your Bachelor/Bachelorette party on a Yacht?

VENUES

Most people end up staying in the same old generic hotel room in the hustle
and bustle of downtown. When was the last time you called a family member
or friend and said, “You should see this place, it’s fantastic!”
Plan to spend your special occasion on one of our beautifully appointed “Boat
Bed & Breakfast” yachts, moored at the secluded Shelter Cove Marina. For
about the same price as a hotel room you can be sleeping on the water in San
Diego’s famous America’s Cup Harbor. With all of our yachts you are not renting a room, you are living in a fully functional sailing ship or motor yacht that
have long histories of ocean passages and adventures. Experience what it is
really like to live at sea.

he asked...she said yes!
This beautiful couple share their proposal story with us.

russell & stacy

The Sunday before Christmas, Russell and I had been out running errands and finishing
some last minute things before the holiday. I had been asking him for the past week to
plan something that allowed us to spend some quality time together since we had not
been able to due to our crazy schedules. Once the errands were finished, we arrived back
at the house and he told me to get dressed because he wanted to take me somewhere.
Russell loves to surprise me, so he did not tell me where we were going, just that I needed
to get dressed. While I am in the middle of straightening my hair, I hear the doorbell
ring. To my surprise, it was some good friends of ours all dressed up and ready to go out.
After repeatedly asking why I was not aware that they were coming over, I finally finished
getting dressed and we all got in the car and started driving. After traveling for about 25
minutes or so, we pull up at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. Russell and I had
come to walk around Terranea early on in our relationship and I loved it, so I did not think
this was anything out of the ordinary. We sat down to eat lunch at a beautiful restaurant
overlooking to ocean. As we finished up, Russell suggested we go walk down by the ocean.
We found our way to some rocks where we decided to snap a couple pictures. We took
turns climbing onto the rocks and taking pictures together as couples. When it was our
turn, I cautiously climbed my way (in boots) over to Russell. As we stood upon the rocks,
with the sun setting in the background, I remember being impressed that Russell had
wanted to keep taking pictures (normally he is not a big fan of pictures). As I started to
make my way off the rocks and back to the walkway, Russell said, “How about one more
picture?” As I turned to look at him, he dropped down to one knee and asked the question
that changed our lives forever!

green florals. Sam combined Peruvian Lilly,
eucalyptus, fuchsia anemone, and maroon
cornflower and dahlia to complete this first bridal

combined were champagne spray roses, mossy
Dianthus, softly scented white stock and lavender
scabiosa. Sam specializes in creating your bouquet

the first look..
Are you in debate about "the first look"? We are too!
However, there are some great advantages to the first look before the "I do's."
1. Nerves!
Seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle to I DO can be
nerve-racking! The first look is meant to release some of those nervous jitters
before the ceremony.
2. Mingle with your guests!
Taking First look photos creates an opportunity for the bride, groom and wedding
party to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. It also relieves the bride and groom
from greeting their guests during their reception to enjoy and dance the night
away!
3. Precious Moments!
With the First Look , your photographer can capture every emotion that the bride
and groom have in those moments. It truly can be some of the best, kodak
moments from your wedding.

5 TIPS FOR YOUR MEMORABLE HONEYMOON

Written by: DC Vekic,
founder of Cosmopolitan Travels, Inc.

#1 - HIRE A TRAVEL AGENT. This might sound self serving coming from an industry professional, but a majority
of the time it doesn't cost more than booking on the internet and they will do all of the leg work for you. Plus, a
reputable travel agent will be a great advisor and advocate ensuring you not only get the best value, but also make
sure you get all of the honeymoon freebies (champagne welcome, breakfast in bed, spa discounts, private dinners,
etc.) that online booking site might not even mention.
#2 - BOOK EARLY. The deposits to book a honeymoon are not large and usually they are refundable. By
booking early, you will insure early booking bonuses and discounts. Also if you have your heart set on a special
room category, like millionaire suite, master suite, swim-out suite, etc, you will ensure you get it as there is a very
small number of those rooms in existence. Some are even sold out a year in advance!

Call and book your travel today

www.cosmopolitantravels.com

#3 - DISCOVER A NEW PLACE TOGETHER - Go someplace where the Bride and Groom have never been before.
Unless the honeymoon is a tribute to a milestone event (for example: proposal in Hawaii - getting married on the
same spot), the honeymoon should be a brand new milestone that will create new memories and forever tie the
Bride and Groom to its location.
#4 - KEEP YOUR CELLPHONES OFF (as much as you can) AND SHARE EXPERIENCES with EACH OTHER. There
will be plenty of time after the honeymoon to accept all the congratulations and well wishes from friends and
relatives. If you are an Instagram junkie, limit yourself to 3-4 posts a day. Concentrate on sharing experiences, like
couples massage, candlelit private dinner on the beach, or just spending an entire day doing nothing but enjoying
each other's company.
#5 - CREATE MEMORIES - Amazingly enough, sometimes couples are so immersed in their trip they forget to
take photos. Make a conscious effort to take a good camera and take pictures of each other on your honeymoon.
If a resort has a professional photographer, book a session. Your travel agent will know and might even be able
to arrange a discount. Buy a souvenir together, something that will bring back memories when you look at it. Do
something together that neither of you has done before.

5 Tips to Keep Your Rings Safe and Spectacular
Congratulations! Are you having fun showing off your incredible new ring?
Holding it up constantly to see it sparkle and shine? Well, that beautiful new
treasure you’re wearing needs some TLC to stay safe and gorgeous. Here are
5 important tips to keep that ring secure and looking great for decades to
come…
1. Get insurance!

Heaven forbid something happens to your
ring—it’s lost, stolen, etc. For as little as
2% of the ring’s value per year you can
fully protect that special investment. You
will need an appraisal (which the seller
should provide free of charge) and can add
the ring/s to your renter’s or home owner’s
policy. Or, I strongly suggest checking
with Gemshield or Perfect Circle, who
specialize in jewelry insurance.

inside of your band if there are openings.
Please note, if a diamond falls out while
brushing it means it was already loose and
about to fall out. Better to come out
during cleaning so it can be re-set rather
than buying a replacement.

4. Keep it clean-er.

Yes, I want you to clean your ring/s at
home all the time, but that’s not the same

2. Have your rings inspected

AT LEAST every six months. Your
personal jeweler should give your rings
a free checkup any time you want. We
ensure that all of your little diamonds (the
big one too) are still tight and secure. We
inspect the prongs for wear, cracking,
or bending. It’s much easier—and less
expensive—to repair your ring than to
replace lost diamonds. This only takes a
few minutes so ask for that small favor at
least twice a year.

3. Keep it clean.

I know, this sounds like a no brainer, but
you would be surprised how a tiny amount
of dirt or film (think lotion, make-up, even
soap residue) will suck the brilliance right
out of your diamonds. Great news-- you
can NOT over-clean precious metals or
diamonds. You can scrub your ring every
single day. But please—ALWAYS over a
closed sink, just to be extra safe. Scrub
hard with either a jewelry brush or a
toothbrush (my preference).
You absolutely will not damage your ring
by brushing with vigor, especially on the
underside of your big diamond and the

as letting your personal jeweler do it. I
invite my clients to stop by any time for
complimentary cleanings. I polish the
metal, use an industrial ultrasonic machine
and a steam blaster to get their rings
“like-new.” This only takes a few minutes
and makes a HUGE difference in the
appearance. If your rings are white gold
you also may have them rhodium plated
once every year or two to keep that pure
white shine they had when they were new.

5. Love your rings.

Yes, truly love them and treat them like the
treasures they are. Don’t wear them
during cooking, cleaning, working out
(including Pilates or yoga!), wvvv and
sports, etc. If you bump your hand, take a
moment to check your ring over. Care for
them well and they will last a lifetime, or
even for generations…

Marriage Licenses
BY LINDSAY GOWER
It’s the must-have accessory for every bride: A Marriage License!  So let’s review the basics you need to
know about getting licensed to wed.
Getting the License
Both bride and groom must go, in person together, to a County Clerk’s office.  In California, you can
go to the Clerk’s Office in any county; it does not need to be the county in which you are having the
wedding. Neither of you needs to be a California resident to apply for a California marriage license.  No
blood test or medical exam is required and there is no waiting period: You apply, pay, and receive the
license then and there.
You both must:
• Be at least 18 years old. If you’re younger, you need consent of parent or guardian.
• Bring a government- issued valid picture ID (such as a driver’s license) that includes your full
legal name and date of birth.
• If you have been married before, bring Proof of Dissolution. You cannot apply for a marriage
license if you are married, even if your divorce is almost final.
What to Do With the License
You receive an unsigned license. Here’s what makes it an official wedding certificate:
• Get married within 90 days of the date the license is issued!
• Before the wedding, give the license to the person who’ll officiate at the ceremony. The officiant is
required to review the license before conducting the ceremony. It’s a good idea to bring it to the
rehearsal for go over it with the officiant, and of course bring it to the wedding.
• After the ceremony, the officiant will complete and sign the license, and have it signed by bride,
groom, and at least one witness.
• The officiant will return the license to the County Clerk’s office within 10 days of the ceremony,
so it can be officially recorded. Once recorded, you can buy a copy of your wedding certificate
(depending on the county, you don’t receive one automatically).

IN LOS ANGELES, YOU CAN APPLY FOR A MARRIAGE LICENSE ONLINE.
IT’S EASY AND SAVES TIME!
Once you complete the online application you can come to the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk
headquarters in Norwalk or go to any one of our branch offices to pick up your marriage license, pay the
license fee, and arrange for a civil marriage ceremony, if desired. Call or visit any of the branches listed
below for further details.

Stitches of Love: Part Ⅱ
After many hours of creating everything, with my
mom, from invitations to favors, and, most
importantly, my princess gown, the day of the
wedding turned out to be exactly what I
had always dreamt of. We made the dress with
French lace that we took apart and used as
appliques, one by one. We used tulle, organza, and
hand made, silk flowers designed all over the dress
with a hint of pearls. I hadn’t even
tried on any gowns, since I already had the dress I
wanted in my head. I have always loved mermaid
style dresses, but I knew this would be the only
chance I would have to wear a puffy dress that
would make me feel like a princess. I kept changing
the style to make it exactly as I had imagined.
At the end, it turned out exactly as what I had
pictured it to be, fairytale-like and beautiful. We had
also made a very long Cathedral veil with the same
French lace we had used on the gown. The most
amazing woman in my life, my mother, brought my
dream wedding gown to life, and my friends, Amy
Seyfi and Meline Yousefian, made me feel so
beautiful on my special day with their wonderful
talents in hair and makeup.

At the end, we had a wonderful event and made
special memories, but what is truly important is all
the love we hold for each other for the rest of our
lives. The look on Oshin’s face was the most
memorable, as I walked out of my room.
The memories we hold are priceless and are forever
engraved in my heart.

Thank you to my wonderful mom and dad for
helping me with everything and for all the
wonderful memories we created while making this
dream come true. I am very thankful to my
bridal party, especially our best man for the
wonderful surprise of Armenian singer Tigran
Asatryan showing up for entertainment. Thank you
to my in laws for all the gifts and
sincere love they have for us. Thank you to my
wonderful relatives and cousins for all of their
support. My friends at Fame salon, thank you for
making me feel so beautiful. Thank you Roobina for
the amazing cake, our wonderful DJ Hayk at High
Class DJ, our caterer Coral Path for the great work,
my Reception venue Le Foyer, Rentals by Milla for
all of their hard work, of course, my very talented
photographer Armen Asadourian, who I am so
I truly had a fairytale wedding as my brother slid on thankful for, and flowers by Farabela. Thank you to
all of our three hundred and thirty guests and all of
my shimmery shoes, my parents surprising us with
their generous gifts. Last but not least,
a Europe trip, and my prince treating me like his
thank you LA
princess on our special day.
bridal and Lisa for
being
Everything was amazing and truly perfect!
so interested in
our story. It is so
One wish that would make our day better than it
precious to have
was would be having my father in law with us. He
left us too young, but I know he was there with us in this story to share
spirit. After all, our wedding was big because of his with you and
memory, and the hall was the one he had told us to cherish
pick. I know that we have an amazing soul watching forever.
over us every day. On our special day, the one thing
Elena Zadouri
missing was he and he will always be missed.

The Soundtrack to Your Life
By:
Eric Jay - President of Soli Studios Music, Inc.

Your wedding day is you and your spouse’s first, most
public and forever memorable expression of your love
for one another. Every little detail from the colors of
the flowers and fabrics to the perfect location and
date, you strive to make sure it is all exactly perfect
in how it speaks to your guests and expresses your
love and commitment. All of this seems manageable
enough, until you get to the music. Lot’s of questions
arise. What is the best style of music for my
wedding? Should I just have the DJ start and stop a
CD? Do I want to walk down the aisle to a
pre-recorded song, or would live music express what
I want better? What kinds of instruments should I
have play? Where can I find musicians to play what
I want?
“Where words fail, music speaks.” Hans Christian
Andersen couldn’t be more right! Of all the
preparations you have made for your wedding day, no
other element will bring more joy and celebration, or
express the often speechless love you have with your
spouse more eloquently than the accompaniment
of professional live music. Imagine - as your guests
arrive they are serenaded by the ethereal sounds of a

harpist, or the relaxing background melodies of the
piano. With anticipation at its peak, the string
quartet fills the air with the announcement that
the ceremony is beginning. The quartet continues
to narrate the story of your love as the parents,
bridesmaids and flower girls process down the aisle.
The quartet then quietly resolves their last note, and

after a moment of silent excitement, three sterling
silver trumpets herald your guests to their feet and
announce the entrance of the beautiful bride. As you
walk down the aisle toward the love of your life, the
harp, piano, trumpets and strings perfectly play
the special songs you have picked for this once in a
lifetime journey. As the ceremony ends, the music
crescendos to celebrate your new life together and
you recess out and into your new life. Your guests
continue to be entertained during the cocktail hour
by the sounds of the piano, trumpet and violin player
who now have your guests smiling to the sounds of
Frank Sinatra, Broadway, Pop/Jazz and all the special
requests you’ve made. Finally, before the party
begins with the thump of the DJ’s speakers, the string
quartet provides the perfect mood music as your
guests enjoy dinner with the new bride and groom.
So many brides have no idea what they are missing
out on when they allow the DJ to try and express
through music what only live professional musicians
are able to provide. Here at Soli Entertainment, we
are all established music industry professionals.
