Cmdr. Scott Loeschke was relieved of command by Cmdr. Dan Cook, the former assistant regional gional eng engine ineer er in Joint Joint Regi egion on Mar Marian ianas as,, Guam. “It has been my honor to lead an outstanding group grou p of professio professionals nals who are commit committed ted to providing provi ding the highest quality training to Seabees and Airmen,” Loeschke said. “This has certainly been the most rewa rewarding rding assig assignment nment of my career.” NCTC Port Hueneme hosted nearly 3,500 students during fiscal year 2012. In addition to Seabees from all seven ratings, this number includes U.S. Air Force students who train with construction mechanics during “A” School as part of an Interservice Training Review Organization (ITRO) agreement. NCTC Port Hueneme Detachment China Lake manages the Navy’s water well drilling and blast and quarry training programs with a throughput of almost 70 students in FY12.
