We have been present on the global market since 2009 with a dedication to produce environmentally friendly and affordable source of energy thus taking greater responsibility for the wellbeing of our planet. Our products are a result of our own research and development. With continuous investment in people, equipment and research and development SOLVIS is increasing its competitiveness on the global market.
TECHNOLOGY Our modules show high energy yield in low as well as in high irradiation areas. High kWh/kWp performance is obtained through: • High shunt resistance for improved performance at low irradiation and low series resistance for improved performance at high irradiation • Pre-sorting according to Pmpp and Impp minimizing module mismatch losses • EVA foil with very low yellowing index (due to degradation processes EVA foil can gradually turn from transparent to yellow colour reducing the amount of incident light) • High EVA gel content contributes to outstanding long-term performance • Whole spectrum highly transparent glass, produced by specialized company • High quality cells with narrow electrical sorting, minimal interconnection losses and uniform colour appearance • Low reflection, high transparency, ornamented and tempered solar glass certified to be used even near airfields • Module sorting on average nominal power

POLYCRYSTALLINE MODULES
MONOCRYSTALLINE MODULES
Most wanted SOLVIS product arrives in dark blue colour and provides superb performance and long lifetime.
This module provides high energy density and arrives in almost black colour. It meets highest quality requirements in photovoltaic system engineering.
BLACK EDITION
TRANSPARENT EDITION
Special aesthetic appeal of a photovoltaic power plant can be achieved by installation of full black modules. Cells, backsheet polymer and frame are painted black. Only ribbon remains metallic. Modules are available in 48 or 60 cells versions.
For building integration where installation requires natural lighting, transparent backsheet combined with mono technology is the best solution. Transparency is around 10%. These modules are available in 48 or 60 cells versions.
GLASS • Glass is the first frontier in preserving module durability. That is why we decided to keep our standard glass thickness at 4 mm although most producers switched to 3,2 mm. Although thickness difference is only 20%, tests have shown that hail resistance is higher by up to 50%. High durability also comes with another benefit - due to the thicker glass we can use thinner aluminum frames thus enabling easier module handling. Technical properties summary: • Excellent transparency ratio above 91,8% due to the specialized production process • 50% higher hail resistance - 4 mm glass thickness ensures 50% more hail impact resistance than the industry average • Robust glass enables thinner frames for simpler module handling • Excellent physical characteristics enable high load certification of 5400 Pa
BACKSHEET
Backsheet structure
• PV backsheet is a special laminate that protects module from ultraviolet radiation, moisture and weather while acting as an electrical insulator. It insulates electrical parts of modules which can operate up to 1000 VDC. These functions are essential for modules functionality, longevity and safety of installers and users. • Our backsheets are certified by TÜV or VDE for partial discharge. They are easily cleanable, chemically resistant and provide a very strong “tear bond” to EVA encapsulates. They have exceptional stability under damp heat and freeze-thaw conditions. Extended damp heat testing has shown superior retention of bond strength for all laminate layers.
1 2 3 4 5 1. Polyester - Hydrolysis and UV resistant
Technical properties summary: • UV stability - no visible change after a high performance UV-stress testing • Superb electrical properties • Superb thermal properties • Superb barrier properties • High degree of whiteness • High reflective properties
Benefits of using: • Easily cleanable • Chemically resistant • Very strong “tear bond” to EVA • Excellent stability under damp heat and freeze-thaw conditions • Superior bond strenght - extended damp heat testing shows superior retention of bond strenght for all laminate layers
2. Adhesive 3. Polyester Core 4. Adhesive 5. Promoting Film
EVA • Probably one of the most crucial components for ensuring high module quality. It is a thermoplastic material containing ethylene vinyl acetate which is used to encapsulate photovoltaic cells. Importance of EVA comes from its function - it “glues” cells and backsheet, ensures module airtightness and prevents any interaction between materials inside the module and external environment. • Additional characteristic include high optical transmittance, good adhesion to different module materials, adequate mechanical compliance between glass and cells and good dielectric properties. • By carefully choosing proven suppliers together with regular quality checks, we insure all our modules are produced with the highest quality EVA layer thus ensuring long life and guarantee of our products. Technical properties summary: • UV stability - no visible change after a high performance UV-stress testing • Superb laminating properties - high gel content ensures excellent crosslinking of the laminate • Superb optical transmittance that ensures power yield maximization
MODULE MAXIMIZER JUNCTION BOX • SOLVIS modules can be ordered with integrated individual module power maximizing and disconnection unit. The output of each module is individually maximized harvesting practically 100% of available energy from the array. Clouds or partial shading or module mismatch affects are therefore strongly reduced. This technology accelerates systems payback, enables module level data monitoring and simplifies balance of system design. This technology enables unprecedented level of security as each module can be centrally disconnected without any cable being energized in deactivated PV plant.
SOLVIS SOLRIF FRAME TECHNOLOGY • SOLVIS Solrif TM modules can be ordered with Solrif aluminum frames in plain metal or any RAL colour. They are intended for building integration replacing conventional roof covering of pitched roofs. Whether as part of the roof or covering the entire roof, use of Solrif frame is highly flexible both on new buildings and for retrofitting. Installed on a simple wood or metal batten structure, these solar roof tiles replace regular roof cover. A photovoltaic system may cover complete roof or only a portion of it. SOLVIS is registered trademark of SOLVIS d.o.o. Croatia. Solrif TM is registered trademark of Ernst Schweizer AG Switzerland.
JUNCTION BOX • Junction box concept is based on a flexible, open system structure, which allows serial and parallel interconnection via direct wire connection or separable connectors. Male and female cable couplers were designed for high voltage and high current carrying capacity in addition to the well established IP65 sealing requirement in the photovoltaic industry. Mating safety is provided by polarity keyed housings, fully shrouded contacts and a squeeze to release connection system. In addition, a wide temperature range and fulfillment of worldwide standards for photovoltaic connection systems complement the robust product specification.
ALUMINIUM JUNCTION BOX • Aluminum is the best choice for photovoltaic as it is resistant to environmental influences, extremely durable, prevents fire and is very easy to maintain. It ensures that functional heat of a diode, often measuring up to 200 degrees Celsius, is quickly and effectively dissipated. Therefore, we guarantee constant diode performance well beyond the life cycle of photovoltaic modules. Benefits of using: • Cooled diodes live longer: eight times longer life cycle • Extremely robust and waterproof: aluminium makes it possible • We keep things sealed: no long-term corrosive contacts • No humidity inside the lamination • PTFE membrane assures optimum pressure balance and keeps humidity outside • Safety first: no elctric arching, no hot spots, no fire hazard

SPECIAL PRODUCTS • SOLVIS succeeded by continuous investment into research and development. We gathered experienced team of professionals capable of handling challenging tasks in development of new sophisticated solutions. By developing new processes within module production and designing custom made solutions, we are able to meet clients’ needs. Implementation of new technologies also requires high level of expertise in production. This allows us to implement the latest technology advances in production of our products. • BIPV (built-in) modules can be ordered with frames fitted for roof integration in plain metal or any RAL colour. They are intended for building integration replacing the conventional roof covering of pitched roofs. Whether as a part of a roof or covering an entire roof, use of such a frame is highly flexible both on new building and for retrofitting. • Installed on a simple wood or metal batten structure, these solar roof tiles replace regular roof cover. • Photovoltaic system may cover complete roof or only a portion of it.
BIPV GAS STATION • SOLVIS developed a brand new and unconventional approach for finding new methods for solving future challenges and for gaining experience in operating systems that are not current industrial standards thus promoting efficiency improvement of these technologies. Based on our experience, we applied these elements in the first integrated BIPV gas station. • Besides its shading effect, a 195 square meters of solar canopy made of polycrystalline glass/glass modules transforms solar energy into electricity. Generated electricity is then used by the gas station. Additional 50 square meters of effective surface consists of 60 rhombus shaped solar leaves which define a unique solar tree. • Installed solar system is one of the most cost effective technologies available today. It generates approximately 30,800 kWh annually, significantly decreasing operation costs of the gas station.
YACHT MODULES • Additional improvements were implemented in shipping industry by producing in-deck integrated special shape modules. These modules were integrated on a yacht sun deck area and are used to produce electricity. Special dimensions and size with specially cut glass are fine details that distinguish these products from any other on the market.
