11.3- CHARGING PROCEDURE 415V MCC CHARGING PROCEDURE Task Description 1. Confirm that Pre-commissioning checks are completed for MCC and upstream PMCC Feeder(s) 2. Confirm that Relay settings are adopted as per recommendation for upstream PMCC Feeder(s), Bus Coupler and Bus PT relays if applicable 3. Ensure availability of Fire Extinguisher 4. Obtain clearance from working parties 5. Test & record final IR of Incomer Power cables. Confirm proper termination at both ends 6. Test & record final IR of MCC Bus 7. Confirm that all covers are closed on MCC and upstream PMCC 8. Ensure that all outgoing feeders of MCC are Isolated 9. Ensure that PTs and Auxiliary transformers of MCC are racked in, with all fuses intact 10. Ensure that MCC Incomers and Bus Coupler are Racked out / OFF 11. Rack in the upstream CB, if applicable 12. Note the bus voltage of upstream PMCC and confirm that it is within normal range (415V ± 10%) 13. Close the upstream PMCC Feeder, thereby charging the Power cable 14. Check the voltages at MCC Incomer PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. 15. Close the Incomer 1 ACB / SFU / Isolator, thereby charging Bus-1 of the MCC 16. Check the voltages at Bus-1 PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. Confirm the positive phase sequence from outgoing feeder. 17. TESTING SCHEDULE: Procedure for commissioning of LT Switchgear 18. Check the voltages at Bus-2 PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. Confirm the positive phase sequence from outgoing feeder. 19. Phase out between the Bus-1 and Bus-2 (through outgoing feeders), and record. A proper phase match is essential. 20. Check proper functioning of control transformers for 110V and 230V, including changeover If both sources are available: 21. Open Bus Coupler ACB / SFU 22. Close the MCC Incomer 2 ACB / SFU / Isolator, thereby charging Bus-2 of the MCC 23. Check the voltages at Bus-2 PT voltmeter. Record PT secondary voltages in the table below. 24. Phase out between the secondary voltages of the Bus-1 and Bus-2 PTs, and record.
