Manager / Project Manager (Survey) - NOIDA & Rajasthan – (5) Position overview:
Responsible for overall execution and success of the Electrical Distribution Network Assets Survey (through GIS equipments, applications and systems) and Consumer Indexing Survey work for complete / part jurisdiction of one of the three Rajasthan Distribution Companies (DISCOMS) under PFC funded ‘R-APDR Programme’.
Key Responsibilities:
Motivate and Lead a 250-people team (including in-house and Vendor) of ‘Electrical Distribution Network and Consumer Surveyors’ working at multiple locations - on an ambitious and prestigious Survey Project for Rajasthan Distribution Companies (DISCOMS). To ensure cost effective and schedule-adherence of top-quality output, meeting project specifications. As Field Survey Manager (FSM), the candidate will perform extensive Client / Vendor coordination and communication with internal and external stake holders.
The responsibilities include:
Defining Systems and Processes; Carrying out Project Planning & Analysis Setting Up, Planning, Managing, Monitoring & Controlling the above Field Surveys – through a structured process framework • Process Improvement and Excellence initiatives. Managing continuous improvements in processes and product / service / deliverables’ quality • Detailed and Regular Planning, Reporting and Co-ordination with ‘Head – Survey Execution’ • Coordination and standardization of activities with other FSMs (in other DISCOMS) Mentor and Guide PLs and APMs, to ensure success in: • Training & Guiding a team of Supervisors to oversee and coordinate the Vendor (Partner) Surveyors • Training, Guiding and developing a Vendor’s QC team responsible for 1st time In-Process Quality of the field survey Process, Activities and Constituents • Collecting, Documenting and Analyzing field-data • Conducting Survey Training on regular basis for all technical personnel
Skills
Following skills are required essentially: • • • • • Experience & Knowledge in Electrical Engineering domain Project Management of Complex Intertwined Rules & Logics Strong in Analytical and Logical Approach Knowledge & Experience of ISO QMS standards, Procedures & practices Expertise in MS office & proficient in MS access
Desirable and added advantage:
• Knowledge / Experience of GIS applications / softwares like ESRI, MapInfo, ACAD • Knowledge / Experience of handling GPS & DGPS Surveys • Knowledge / Experience of handling Consumer Surveys / Opinion Polls

Qualifications & Experience:
M.E / M. Tech / B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering. Exposure to GIS packages and / or degree in management / project management from reputed institute. 14+ years of relevant experience, currently a Manager / Project Manager in Field Surveys, GIS, preferably in Electrical utility domain. Experience in Erection / Operations and Maintenance of Electrical Distribution System.
