Lasting Relationships
It’s funny how through speaking my second language, God gives me a boldness that I’ve never known before. I’m able to speak without fear. Sometimes I stumble, but God is oh-so graceful. Through this newly learned boldness for Christ, I’ve realized I don’t want just normal relationships, I want lasting relationships. Eternal relationships. It’s not ok for me to just be a mediocre friend here on Earth. I need to proclaim the Gospel with such zeal and passion that my friends and family here, will be my friends and family in Heaven as well. I’ve also learned that these relationships take time, effort, love, and much prayer. For the past six months, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Petita better. This is a totally Godordained relationship. Petita helps me with the language, takes care of Sam during ministry events, helps with cooking and cleaning, and most importantly, she’s my friend. Petita has no experience with God, church, or the Bible. She’s curious and wants to learn more. I want to be one of the people to show her more, pray for her, and love her the way God desires for me to love her. Through our time together, I’ve been able to get to know her girls, son, and grandson better. We’ve gone to a quincinera, the historic park in Guayaquil, and most recently we were asked to be the ones to put the cap and gown on her daughter who graduated 8th grade. We’ve come to love each member of this family so much. We desire for Petita and her family to know Christ and become Christians. Please pray for discipling opportunities with this family. We will be praying for you to form relationships of eternal significance.

Relationships and discernment as we progress with Bible studies and pastoral training. Youth-greater/deeper love for Christ as we attend Camp the first weekend in March.

Library T-shirts
Ministry and life are in full-swing! February marked the start of big and little kids library, youth group, adult Bible study, and planning for our pastoral conference in March. We also had the privilege of having, my father and sister here to play with Sam and help with ministry! During this trimester in the library we are going to be using the storying method studying from Genesis to Jesus. We also had the theme “Shine
Family Paseo to Cuenca
for Jesus,” where kids created Suns with their pictures. They wrote ways they are going to strive to shine for Jesus at home, school, and with friends. We’re really excited about our small, but mighty evangelists! We hosted an open house to explain the library to parents and our goals and expectations. We had a full house! Praise God! We’ve also been going strong with our Wednesday night Bible study. We’ve

averaged 18-20 people who are enthusiastically hearing the word of God. These are people with whom we’ve been striving to have a relationship. It’s wonderful to see hotel workers, neighbors, and parents of our library kids coming to learn more about Christ. We are excited to see where God will take these relationships. Will you pray for these men and women to become Christians?
