March News
It is already March?! I cannot believe how fast
this school year is zipping by! During the month
we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday by
spending a week reading some of his books and
doing some fun corresponding activities. Next,
we will explore and learn about our Five Senses.
We will then “steam” ahead to talking all about
trains. We will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on
the 17th. Then we will explore other forms of
transportation in Week 4. We will end the month
discussing safety and being safe. It should be
a jam-packed month of learning!

March Skills
During Literacy/Letter Time this month I will
be continuing to introduce the diagonal letters
Vv, Mm, Nn, Ww, and Xx.
This month in the Math Center, I will be focusing
on labeling, combining, taking away, and sharing
sets. This will be accomplished with a variety
of manipulatives and number cards.
This month’s character education topic is
perseverance. I will be talking about this during
the third week when we learn about trains by
reading “The Little Engine that Could.”
Tuesday, March 31 is Green Show-N-Tell
Day. Have your child come dressed in
green, share something green, and we will
have a green snack as well!
