Marriage Details & Requirements in Pakistan
Legal Marriage age for a Girl is 16 years old and for a boy is 18 years old. If you want to marry before this age you are required Guardian Permission.

For Registration of Marriage you are required two things 1. Pakistani ID (NIC) 2. Form B (Domicile) / Educational Certificate for verification of Date of Birth. For Marriage Performance at least two witnesses are required from each partner (2 Witnesses from boy and 2 from girl).

 Jahez (Dowrey) is given by the family of Bride to the family of Groom.  Haq Mehr (Bride Price) is the payment given by the Groom to the Bride.

o The girl will further swear through affidavit (Legal Contract) that she has no existing marriage. o Both (boy & girl) will be asked three times about the marriage approval.

Statement goes like this (for both):“Do you accept your marriage with _____ s/o _____ & the amount of Haq Mehr is decided to be _____ Rs.” o At the end, both signs the marriage certificate and pray (Dua).

In case the spouses (Husband/Wife) don't have any of the above mentioned documents then their photo graph would be fixed on the marriage papers and some other person could verify their particulars.

 In case one of the parties had any marriages in the past then Divorce decree would be required.  In case one of the partner who had any marriages in the past but spouse is dead then Death certificate would be required.  In case one of the partner who is getting married is separated (Husband & Wife are not living together) then they must first go through the legal procedure of getting divorce decree.
