I know you join with me in praying for the victims and families in Moore, Oklahoma, who have experienced such destruction this week. As you pray for them I want to remind you of the efforts that are being made to aid these families. Our Cooperative Program gifts go the efforts of disaster relief around the nation and world. Your tithe and offerings include our contribution to this effort. That is not to say for you to avoid giving directly as the Lord leads, but, it is to Praise the Lord that our gifts are readily available to help. Thank you for your faithful giving to the LORD. Have you considered being a Matthew? You remember that a Matthew is one that invites others over to hear the Good News of Jesus. Several have indicated that they would like to be Matthews and wanted to know more about it. Over the summer, starting this Sunday evening, I will be teaching about being a Matthew. This training will be helpful to everyone and I plan to do it through our Sunday evening messages. Come this Sunday evening to be introduced to how to become a Matthew. The ladies are providing breakfast for the dads of our church on Father’s Day. We ask that you sign up ahead of time to reserve your spot by calling the church office. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Paul

CONGRATULATIONS-MADISON HELMS A special word of congratulation to Madison Helms for being honored as the Valedictorian for the Class of 2013 at Bainbridge High School. Madison is one of the fine teenagers who serves in our Youth and Music Ministries here at FBC. She is the big sister to Haley and the daughter of April and David Helms. SAINTS ALIVE REPORTS Join us Sunday at 10:45 as we sing “Blades of Grass & Pure White Stones” with the Chancel Choir. Honor the memory of those who ‘sacrificed their all for our freedoms’! The Saints Alive Choir shared two concerts of Gaither music last Monday at Riverside Place Assisted Living and at Memorial Manor. Each of the groups really enjoyed our presentation. We even had Duane Hatcher join us and immediately sing in his first concert at the same time. Our enjoyable morning ended with a trip to Yuki for lunch. What a great day of ministry! SENIORS SINGING BY THE SEA Ray Harrell & I had the joy of flying over to Jekyll Island to ‘spy’ on the Georgia Baptist Convention’s Senior Adult Choir event called Seniors Singing by the Sea. We were able to be a part of 2 rehearsals and concluding with the final worship service where Dr. J. Robert White preached and all the music was performed. We’ll report on more to Saints Alive in the future! Art
