SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
A special word of thanks to members of the Saints Alive Choir
for joining with the Chancel Choir last Sunday to share special
music. The new song ‘Never Once’ has become a favorite of
mine, as it reassures us of God’s presence and protection
throughout our lives. Great is His faithfulness. We are
streaming the 11:00 AM worship service on the internet and
members and guests worship with us that way each week.
Thanks to Richard Dykes and the AV team for silently leading
in a ministry that touches lives at our facilities and around the
world.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB
Our final Fellowship Club gathering this spring was held
Monday, May 2. We gathered at the Boat Basin pavilion, just
south of the Chamber of Commerce building. Thanks to
Harold Fleshman and Lewis Jones for manning the grill, and
to Barbara Fleshman and her team for setting up a great meal.
Unfortunately, we were unable to find a loaner boat for the
rides. Perhaps next year.

MISSIONS GIVING
Mission-minded members join to support mission causes here
in Georgia, North America and worldwide. This week is the
culmination of our gifts to support the residents of the Georgia
Baptist Children’s Homes. As of Wednesday, about 400
pounds of gifts were given by caring members of FBC.
We exceeded the $7,000 Annie Armstrong Offering goal (for
North American Missions) by $1,464; the $1,500 State
Missions Offering goal by $1,248; and exceeded the $12,000
Lottie Moon Offering goal (for International Missions) by
$1,781. Praise the Lord, from whom all blessing flow! Thank
you for your gifts.

Sunday Morning, May 22
We will worship together in only the 11 am service this day due to the
Senior Breakfast. Parents are encouraged to pick their children up from
Sunday School (even those who will be attending children's worship)
and then after the recognition of seniors and children's sermon during
the 11 am service in the sanctuary, children will be dismissed to the
Fellowship Hall for Children's Worship and may be picked up there
after the service has ended.
Early Session volunteers are asked to assist during Extended Session
time due to the influx of children with the combined service.

VBS!
Submerged: Psalm 139:23-24 ● June 20-24 (evening, times TBA)
Rotation Leaders Needed! I am looking to fill all the rotation leader
positions. Rotations are preschool and elementary and include
missions, recreation, Bible story, and music. Is God calling you to
serve this year?
Calling all painters– especially those who excel at color by numbers! I
am in need of people to prime sets and paint them. If you are willing to
help, please contact me. Times and dates are flexible. We want to get
our stage ready for VBS!

AWANA
Our Awards Ceremony was a great one this year! Special thanks to all
the volunteers who worked tirelessly with our kids this year, the parents
for their dedication in bringing their kids each week and helping them
with their handbooks and to our kids for coming each week with a
smile and ready to learn and play! You made this year awesome! We
hope to see everyone in the Fall!

CentriKid July 18-22
All children who will complete 2nd through 6th grades are invited to
attend CentriKid camps in Norman Park, Georgia on July 18-22. This
is a sleep-away camp that is super fun and presents the Gospel at every
turn. This year the theme is Unseen and we will study Ephesians 6:19.
It is super fun! It is not too late to let me know if you would like to
participate. I have 10 spots left and need to know asap if you are
planning to attend!

Summer Sunday Nights
Join us on Sunday nights beginning at 5:15 for a time
of Bible study. We will meet at the church and will
be studying together 6 foundational truths from
Scripture. Plan to stay for worship with our church
family and then fellowship together from supper
afterwards.
Parent Luncheon
Parents, join us for a time together following the
morning service on Sunday, May 15th in the youth
building. We will provide lunch for you and then I
would like a few minutes to discuss upcoming events
as well as a plan for the future of our parent ministry.
Graduate Recognition
On Sunday morning May 22nd, we will be
celebrating the graduating class of 2016. We will
have a breakfast for high school seniors on the
morning of the 22nd at 8:30 in the fellowship hall.
Also, during the morning service we will recognize
the graduates and present them to the church. Please
note that we will have only one morning service on
this day beginning at 11:00.
Blessings,
Jeff
