Once again we are about to enter the days of celebration and anticipation. Mother’s Day is this Sunday and we will celebrate by recognizing our Mom’s in the morning worship services. This will be followed by Senior Recognition Sunday where we will hear from our graduating seniors and encourage them in their future walk with the Lord. The following Sunday I am anticipating taking a vacation. This will be a great month of Sundays! I did not mention our Sunday evenings in May. This Sunday we will not have services so we can all spend time with our families in celebration. The second Sunday of the month we will join in our community Baccalaureate Service at Bainbridge High School. I mentioned my vacation Sunday and then the next Sunday evening Johnny Payne will be in concert here. All in one month! Are you making plans for ministry this Summer? I know by now most have made some form of vacation plans. Many have set aside days for special events with family and friends. Some will have the opportunity to spend extended times at the beach or in the mountains. But have you made time for ministry? Have you consciously placed on your calendar times that you can help with things like camps, VBS, Migrant ministry, Sunday ministries, etc? Church does not stop for “summer break.” God is still here. His work is still to be done. He still wants us active in His service. So, as you make plans for this summer, make plans to serve Him as well. I look forward to seeing you in service and worship this Sunday. Paul

GRADED CHOIRS SHARE Join us Wednesday, May 13th as we hear our Children’s Choirs share their end of the school year program. Every child has worked hard this year learning songs and music which honors God. Meet us at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary for a great blessing! FELLOWSHIP CLUB AT BOAT BASIN Our traditional gathering at the Boat Basin was a great success with about 40 folks enjoying the beautiful day. Thanks to Duaine & Doris Hatcher for bringing their nice pontoon boat and providing rides up and down the river for us. It was so much fun, some wanted to stay on board and not go home! A Special thanks for those on the Senior Adult Committee and others who decorated and straightened up after our fun. It was a great day of fun and fellowship.
JUBAL BRASS Thursday night’s Jubal Brass Concert was a real blessing to all who attended. I appreciate those of you who expressed your thanks to me and to the other members of the group. The fellows really love to come down to Bainbridge, as proven by the fact that 25 of these busy men made the long trip. I am grateful to those who made our guests feel so welcomed at the concert. Special thanks to Ray & Sandra Harrell and Dr. Ernest Purcell for opening their homes to men who needed to stay the night because of the long distance they faced traveling home. We are blessed to have wonderful folks who will step forward to cook, decorate, clean up and welcome our guests. I appreciate you all. Art
