I B L e

From the Principal...............
We are very proud of the 2nd and 3rd graders! Their performance was outstanding! I want to thank Mrs. Harris again for preparing the students so well! And thank you to all the staff who were able to help that night. It was a fun night and one that highlights the talented students we have at TJ. We will be completing our final DIBELS reading assessment for the year starting on May 6th – 10th. We are sure the children’s hard work will show in their scores. Our “Sea of Success” in the cafeteria continues to grow with various fish proclaiming the outstanding work the students have accomplished so far. Be sure to check it out. I want to thank the Carnival Committee and all the staff for their hard work on creating such a wonderful night of fun for the kids and their families. We netted a little over $10,000 which will help us with several projects: more technology for the kids in each classroom, playground, more books for classrooms. Thank you parents for your donations to help make the carnival a successful fundraiser; where all the proceeds stay right here at TJ for TJ kids! I am pleased and excited to announce there will be a lunch program provided for students and families here at TJ during part of the summer. Cristy Croson, head of our lunch/breakfast program obtained a grant to make this happen. A huge thank you goes to Cristy! More information will be coming. Mrs. Sharp

From Mrs. Harris….
