“Top International One -Year Programme”[1] with the
highest return on investment of any MBA programme
world-wide. This means that INSEAD’s MBA class of
2010 paid for their degree in just 2.4 years.
The Forbes results reiterate what we have always
known: INSEAD’s emphasis on diversity and a global
mindset, coupled with consistent academic excellence
and constantly improving career development services,
is the best formula to ensure the success of our
graduates globally.

From the Director
90% of our 2014 - 2015
graduates reported
employment 3
months after
graduation
The academic year 2014 - 2015 has been
a successful one for INSEAD MBA students,
with 90% securing employment within 3 months
of graduation. This is a remarkable figure
for our unique, global ten-month programme.
Through our strong network of global recruiters,
combined with a unique career development
curriculum, our students found jobs with 293
different employers in 57 different countries.
As a true testament to the lifelong value of
an INSEAD education, in September 2015,
Forbes ranked our MBA as the

02

At the same time, INSEAD’s ecosystem for
entrepreneurship continues to grow as more
of our students pursue entrepreneurial paths.
We pride ourselves in having students who are willing
to experiment and innovate, and are ready to take risks
and manage the results of their actions. With this
in mind, we are happy to announce that INSEAD has
been ranked as the top European school for producing
venture capital-based entrepreneurs. Specifically,
INSEAD’s MBA programme produced entrepreneurs
who garnered the most Venture Capital funds across
all European business schools at US$ 1.9 billion.[2]
The total amount raised by INSEAD entrepreneurs
is comparable to the total amount of capital raised
by entrepreneurs from the remaining 9 European
business schools on the Top 10 list.
Our alumni are very successful as well, with
INSEAD being the top producer of CEO talent in
the largest public firms in Europe, having graduated
12 CEOs across Europe as well as 9 CEOs in the global
Fortune 500 companies[3]. Today, we also see INSEAD’s
alumni taking up key positions in governments around
the world, bearing testament to INSEAD’s mission
to develop responsible, thoughtful leaders
and entrepreneurs who create value for their
organisations and communities.

2015 has been a year of significant change for our
Career Development Centre (“CDC”), with INSEAD
heavily investing in the development of a new
and stronger organisation to better market, develop
and connect its talent. The CDC leadership team has
been strengthened. A new position of Director of the
Europe campus has been created and filled. Our offices
have been completely refurbished to offer recruiters,
students and alumni an unparalleled experience.
We are also proud to announce that every student
is now allocated a personal Career Advisor to support
them through their entire career journey all the way
from admissions until they land a job upon graduation.
This, together with an expanded and highly-focused
team of Employer Engagement specialists based
in the Europe, Asia and the Middle East campuses,
will ensure that our students develop to their fullest
potential to leverage the increased career opportunities
offered to them across the globe.
This year, we have decided to make a few changes
to our employment statistics brochure:
• Starting with this report, we will publish statistics
in December to bring us in line with peer schools.
This report is therefore based on the employment
status of MBA students graduating in the December
2014 and July 2015 classes - students seeking
employment in the 2015 academic year. This means
that the salary data for the December 2014 class
have been used both in this report as well as
the previous one.
• Salary data is now reported in US$, converted
from local currencies using average exchange rates
between December 2014 and September 2015,
which coincide with the period during which
employment data has been collected, starting
from the graduation date of the first class

[1]
[2]
[3]

(December 2014) up till 3 months postgraduation of the second class (July 2015).
We are confident that this will provide
a better sense of the compensation levels
of our students given that the US$ remains
the currency of reference for most recruiters
and top business schools. As a result of the
change in reporting currencies (from Euro
to US$), the corresponding Annual Median
Base Salary for the students covered by this
report has decreased to US$107,100, from
US$115,100 in our last report, mainly as
the result of a depreciating Euro.
• We have changed the graphic design
and included images of several alumni who
have attained great heights in their careers.
While the employment statistics provide
a quantitative picture of the global job market,
these photos add the emotional dimension.
They show that the “dream” that brought our
participants to INSEAD does come true when
talent, determination and great learning meet.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank
our recruiters and alumni for their support
and confidence. Together, we will transform
the future of global business.
