WORK EXPERIENCE: 07/09 – 12/09 – The Coding Source – Los Angeles, CA (Temporary Project Position) Travelled to specified physicians’ offices to review and scan medical records to improve accuracy and capture ICD-9 coding for specified dates of services. Ensured the accurate capture and submission of documented diagnoses for the purpose of risk adjustment, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. 02/09 – 07/09 – Wellness Medical Care – Mount Vernon, NY Front Desk Coordinator Hired on a part-time basis at the conclusion of my internship. Acted as receptionist and registered incoming new patients, created charts, entered patient data into the PMP (Practice Management Program) software; i.e., Eclipse; obtained authorizations and verified insurance.
