Objectives
This game was designed as an entertaining way to drill the letters of the Thai alphabet. As such, it was not intended to be integral to a specific lesson. Nor was it intended specifically to be used in the context of a course. It is more suitable for use in independent study by a motivated learner. It could be used as an entertaining way for K-12 students to drill themselves on the letters and sounds of the Thai alphabet. Students will be able to: ● Recognize the 44 consonant symbols of the Thai alphabet ● Say the names of the 44 consonants of the Thai alphabet
Procedure
In class the teacher will introduce the letter symbols in batches of 4. The students will drill the letters and names of letters. Students will be assigned to play the game for homework until they can successfully pass the levels in which the letters for that day are used.
Assessment
Teacher can log into the game’s website to track student performance and verify that they are passing the required levels. Logging features can be used to tailor the levels a student encounters to contain the letters of the alphabet with which they struggle.
