By utilizing the computer fonts, a general Chinese font display technology which can be used widely on mobile devices is implemented. The Chinese font is stored in the font library as follows;

Virtual Assistants are proposed to provide learning support functions, which give learners appropriate chances for their study, and promote their learning motivation. 4. Language Learning in Globalization Era
4.1 Language Learning and Global Literacy Program (1) Tutorial Language Learning Program -One tutor gives lessons to four students so that students easily acquire basic speaking skill. -Small-class lessons are provided for 10 weeks (twice a week, 20 lessons in total). -Consequently, 80% or more of students have improved their scores in TOEIC and TOEFL.

4. Language Learning in Globalization Era
4.1 Language Learning and Global Literacy Program (2) Cross-Cultural Distance Learning (CCDL) -Students interact with students of partner universities once a week through on-line text and voice chat. -This program is designed to improve communication skills and encourage efforts for mutual understanding by exchanging opinions on topics such as lifestyle, culture, sports, education and religion. -More than 6,000 students of Waseda University and overseas universities took classes last year.

4. Language Learning in Globalization Era
4.1 Language Learning and Global Literacy Program (3) Cyber Seminar/Cyber Lecture Program -Selected themes such as “World English and Miscommunication” are discussed in common language over the teleconference systems. -The goal of this program is to acquire Global Literacy through language learning.
