I wrote this letter a month ago to Toshiba and never got a reply from them, so I guess I should blog it for the world to know. ----------------------------Hello Customer Support, Sometime ago I wrote and sent you snail mail registered letter requesting for a reply on my complaint. I never got an answer from you. I also emailed your worldwide office, your US office and this site, but still got no reply. My lawyers said I have the option of filing charges but I still would like to give this email another chance for an answer from your good office, knowing that a huge company like yours will not ignore a customer complaint. I have excerpted a portion of my letter here for you to take action soonest. I surely will appreciate a response from you. ------------------------------------------------------------Toshiba Information Systems Division P.O. Box 350 North Ryde, NSW 1670 Australia Attn. The Sales Manager Sales, Warranty Service and Support Departments Sirs, I bought my Brand New Dual Core 2GB Toshiba Satellite Pro with 17” LCD monitor last August 29, 2007 from an Ebay store named MP3Station run and owned by a certain Mr. James Sun and had received it after a month. It was delivered via courier to my home address above. It has an international warranty with it as claimed by the seller. After two (2) months of use, it conked out - the LCD has no display so I sent it to your Toshiba representative in the Philippines, Tricom Dynamics Inc. for analysis and repair. But lo and behold, up to this day, the unit has not been returned to me and has not been repaired. Tricom Dynamics claims that they have requested the spare part –i.e. motherboard and video on-board but it arrived and is not also working. This means they are claiming that what TOSHIBA DELIVERED to them as replacement is FAULTY and ALSO DAMAGED. Thus they claim they placed an order for another one again but up to this date, it has not arrive to their offices. The they gave me this Service Request No. 1-79984891. I am thus writing to you as the source of the product, being a Toshiba from Australia sold by an Australian thru Ebay Australia and as this is brand new paid in full, I am requesting a complete refund of what I paid. Your product sucks and your agents sold me a lemon. PUT YOURSELF IN MY PLACE; I bought a supposedly trusted brand and after I use it for a month, the main motherboard together with the main video board suddenly is damaged? How can that be? It is supposed to be guaranteed as a working product before it leaves your factory?

I copied and placed all my sensitive data on this workhorse laptop trusting I can fully be mobile with this Toshiba unit. But alas, a month of use and I have been waiting for it to be repaired??? I lost many of my clients, existing and prospective and I am still suffering from an irresponsible dealer like Tricom Dynamics? Now how do you compensate me for all this trouble. Just because I trusted a Toshiba, now I am without my major tool, and I am depressed about waiting for it to be repaired. Again, I will repeat my demand- COMPENSATE ME FOR THIS UNIT, and all my troubles for waiting for a lemon laptop to be repaired by a lousy service center. No wonder your agents are selling these in eBay!! I demand you respond to this letter immediately. I have to rely on this “snail mail” so that I can get my complaint to you. REPLACE MY UNIT AND COMPENSATE ME FOR ALL MY TROUBLES! No action on your part will mean abandonment of your commitment to your buyers, and I will do everything in my capacity that I get a fair response, action and compensation. Frustrated customer, Arch. Enrique P. Gozar www.arch.gozar.biz P.S. This is a registered letter." ------------------------------------------------------------The above is a copy of my snail mail to your offices. I demand a reply to this mail. Hoping for a speedy and favourable reply, I remain . . . . Very truly yours, Arch. Enrique P. Gozar www.arch.gozar.biz ---------------------------For Toshiba Worldwide: I could be reached at this email address: [email protected]
