NARRATIVE REPORT ON NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION

Every year, in the month of July, the whole nation observes the celebration of
Nutrition Month purposely to disseminate the message of good nutrition to all Filipinos.
Caniugan Elementary School, headed by Mrs. Imelda Mariano joined in the town
celebration of Nutrition Month last July 31, 2013 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Sta. Teresita,
Cagayan. The said celebration started with an opening parade around the town. Opening
program then the cooking contest for both pupil category and teacher category came
thereafter. Marie Claire Mape and Kimberly Mape, both grade VI pupils joined in the said
contest. They have prepared guinatang squash, string beans with shrimp as their recipe.
Ms.. Carolyn Antonio joined for teacher category. She cooked crispy vannamei as her recipe.
Lunch time was served after.
Drum and lyre exhibition contest was done in the afternoon. Caniugan Elementary
School participated and was awarded second place in Category B. all were tired but happy
during the first day.
August 1, 2013, second day of the activity. Since the Municipal Health Department
was very conscious about Theresians health and wellness, contest for Aerobic was foreseen
and materialized during the second day. Again the pupils joined and gave their best in the
said contest.
The culmination of Nutrition Month celebration was a success through the
collaborative efforts of all the agencies, most especially the schools who have participated
the different activities 100 %.

Our school Caniugan Elementary School is planning to celebrate its Buwan ng Wika 2013
through a search for Little Mr and Miss Buwan ng Wika this August 26, 2013 at Caniugan
Mini Gymnasium. Since our school is one among the small school in the district, we are
hard up in providing all the necessary resources for the said activity.

In this regard, the PTA of this school came up with a suggestion to solicit voluntary
donations from civic spirited people like you. We know you have a very kind and generous
heart to be part of an activity like this. Your donations will surely give happiness to the
teachers, parents and most of all to the pupils. We may not return the favor you will soon
extend to us but we will be praying for you and your family’s safety.
