New St. John’s Graveyard.
The present St. John’s Church was built in 1838, replacing an earlier structure situated at Glanduff. Early interments continued to be made in St. John’s old graveyard, Kilcommon and Killenvoy and later in Galey Cemetery, Knockcroghery. The present site was chosen after an original location, on the opposite side of the then main road from the church, was rejected. This database contains headstones for people with surnames A to E and is up-to-date to 2010.
