Lottie Moon Foreign Missions Offering
For the first time in decades, we as Southern Baptists are about to be
forced to bring missionaries home from their fields of ministry.
Gifts to support the work of these ‘called’ servants have decreased.
The fields are white unto harvest. Will you sacrifice this year to
see that your missionaries can stay and serve? Our 2015 goal for
the Lottie Moon Offering to support the work of our missionaries in
foreign countries is $12,000. Begin praying now how you and your
family can be a part of this worthy cause. Ingathering for the Lottie
Moon Christmas Offering will be on the morning of Sunday,
December 6. Be prepared to bring your gift in the morning service
that day.

We have a need for persons to serve as facilitator for couples who
wish to be married at First Baptist Church. If you have an interest
in discovering the benefits and requirements of this person, please
go to the bulletin board outside of the Church Office for more
information. A training session will be scheduled within the next
month.

Gifts To Bus Repair Account
The bus is back and the cost to repair was less than expected.
Please consider a generous offering (above the tithe) to help with
the unforeseen expenses we had in making necessary repairs to our
large bus.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
Lynn Ray has led a ministry to the residents of assisted living
and nursing homes in SE Alabama and Georgia for the past
30+ years. He and his group of gospel musicians travel and
sing weekly to hundreds of folks unable to attend their own
church to worship. For some, these days are all the spiritual
food that is available. Lynn Ray and Dr. Aric Aldridge will be
sharing at Bainbridge Health Care Center this Saturday morning from 10 to 11:00 AM. Pray for them in this ministry, or
better still, go there to support them in person. We appreciate
your ministry through music!

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
Reserve the date of Sunday night, December 6th for the Chancel Choir & Saints Alive Choirs presentation of “I HEAR THE
PROPHET CALLIN’. This musical is the story of the birth of
Christ using scripture and Appalachian style music. A live orchestra will accompany the choirs. Invite friends, neighbors
and “seekers” who may be blessed with this unique presentation of the Christmas story.
Post concert fellowship for the singers and their significant
others will be at the home of Basil and Phyllis Lucas. Make
plans to attend.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE
Again this year, the Christian community of Bainbridge is invited to attend a service of thanksgiving, where we praise God
for His goodness and mercy. Churches all around town are
cancelling their own activities on Sunday evening of November 22. We will gather in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, on Shotwell Street, at 6:00 PM for a time of worship and praise led by the choir of FPC and a message from
Rev. Mike Brown, Pastor at the First United Methodist
Church. There will be no activities here at First Baptist
Church, allowing all of us to share our thanksgiving together.

Family Fun Night Outdoor Movie
Saturday, November 21 ● 7 pm ● Green Space
Bring your chair, blankets, sleeping bags and dress warm for our
outdoor movie night. We will be showing a double feature: Charlie
Brown Thanksgiving and Charlie Brown Christmas! S'mores and hot
chocolate will be served. Please be sure to invite friends and other
families in our community!

Tax Returns & Missions
If you are willing to either help prepare taxes or simply assist in initial
client interviews, please attend our meeting on Thursday, December 3
at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will go over the basics and
requirements of both interviewing and tax preparation. Those
interested will be serving in Clarkston and in our own area working
with the deaf community during the first two Saturdays in February
2016.

AWANA Sundays @ 5:30 pm
We are collecting travel size items for the New Orleans Friendship
House. This ministry provides homeless women in the New Orleans
area a free shower in the hopes of introducing them to Jesus. During
Mardi Gras, they will provide over 100 showers a day! If you have
any travel size items you are willing to donate, please bring them to
the church office. Thank you!

Library Survey
To meet the Library Committee's goal to have a useful Christian
resource to enhance the Christian life, please be sure to share your
thoughts on the survey. Completed surveys may be returned to the
designated containers in the Education Building and the Choir
Entrance of the Shell Annex. All individuals on the Builder email list
received a link to an online option. Thank you so much for your
assistance!

What's Happening:
November 22 No AWANA Happy Thanksgiving!
November 25 No RAs, GAs or Mission Friends
November 29 AWANA Store Night!

Next Monday will be an eventful day for our student
ministry. We need folks that would like to volunteer
to help decorate the public Library. Our students
have participated in this project for the past few
years. This is a great ministry to our community and
is one which the students can collect volunteer hours
for service. We will meet at the church at 8:15 or at
the Library at 8:30. Please let me know if you are
available to help.
Also next Monday afternoon is the first annual
Turkey bowl. We will meet together to play some
flag football, fellowship together, and eat some
chili!!! We will meet at the park at 3:00 and students
can be picked up from the park at 6:00.
Sunday, December 6 will be the day of our spaghetti
lunch fund raiser following the morning service as
well as SNAC following the evening service. Small
groups will meet at 5:30 and attend the worship
service at 6:30. Plan to stay for SNAC as we will all
go out to eat following the evening service.
Blessings,
Jeff
