In a season of harvest, farmers are busy riding on a combine to pick up crops with gratitude, and then it is no wonder that everything gradually turns into Nature’s dyed saturation to be prepared for the winter to come. It signifies a time of thanksgiving coming near. All the family gathers around the table and celebrates the year of the LORD. A grandpa says, ―You gain what you gain. Good Lord provides what we need.‖ That is the humble mind of a farmer. This year has been an interesting challenge for some of us. The harsh wintery bolt hit the ground, and ceaseless rainy spring depressed most of us in any places around town. Concerns and worries were filled up for farmers and workers. But all of a sudden the best autumn was graciously bestowed upon us, and we really appreciated the beauty of Iowa with wonder and awe, simply because ―it is as it is.‖ That is the generosity of Mother Nature that God evoked. 10-10-10 or Ten–Ten–Ten! It was a celebratory shout for joy, and it actually sounded like a clamor of the monumental bell that symbolized that ― we are the church‖. We sang, we clapped, and we were inspired by ― a great cloud of witness‖ ( Heb 12:1). In the spirit of collaboration and benevolence, the church has been built as the center of our everyday life, and she nurtures us to grow up to mature Christians. ― We are the church as we are.‖ Gratefully I have a big family. From a newly born baby to an old lady, there are more than 300 children of God in my family. Every morning I wake up and dress myself and sit on the floor of my little prayer room, and I pray that God may be gracious to everyone in this family. I want to build you up, as God loves you so much. Prayer binds us together as a single big family. Then healing happens, forgiveness is given, and shalom (peace) is fulfilled. That is my thanksgiving to the One who shows me the love. Now I want to invite some of you to the Thanksgiving Day family day dinner at the church fellowship hall who do not have any family around town or any place to go on Thursday. Food and music will be provided, just like a family gathering, and children are welcome, and together we will have a special thanksgiving party. Thank you, LORD, for the bounty harvest. Thank you, LORD, for the generosity of Mother Nature. Thank you , LORD, for the church we are. Thank you , LORD, for the family that I pray for. Heecheon Jeon

Taekwondo is a program that helps to build the mind, body , spirit and encourages a balance of knowledge, strength and honesty. Taekwondo means the way of the hand and foot. It uses powerful hand strikes, blocks and kicks as a means of self discipline, spiritual growth, physical conditioning and self defense. There will be more information coming out as it is available. This program will be open to all ages. This is a great family activity. Please look for more information or contact the church office if you have questions.
