Preface
Knowledge has two aspects – theory and practical and no theoretical concept is complete without having the knowledge of its practical application. A two month’s training program was introduced as a part of curriculum of M.B.A. This training programme proves beneficial for the future managers as they are confronted with the problems of actual work life in the workplace. As per the course requirement we did our 2 months training programme in Gram Tarang, Centurion University Campus Bhubaneswar. Working with India’s no.1 NSDC training centre, though for a short period was really a matter of pride. Our area of concern was mainly in marketing moreover within this short period of time it was very difficult for us to cover all the areas. We concentrated our work to marketing research (Research on Health Care Institutes and Hospitals for a study on their structure and Offerings) and sale. So, the learning’s within our training period is presented in the following pages of our report.

Acknowledgement
Intention, Dedication, Knowledge and work is essential for completion of any task. But still it takes lots of support, guidance, co-operation from the people for its successful completion. Heart full thank to all those who guided and supported us. I have no words to express a deep sense of gratitude to the management of Gram Tarang for giving us an opportunity to pursue our internship. I sincerely thank MD Gram Tarang Mr. Abhinav Madan for giving me more than a training place and opportunity for understanding of “what is a professional culture”. I express my deep sense of indebtness to Mr. Shashikanta Tiwary for providing us opportunities to implement and explore our talents. I am also thankful to other members Gram Tarang.

Introduction
The importance of Nurses’ Training School for a modern Multispecialty Hospital hardly requires any elucidation. In such a small town like Bhubaneswar, that too in a remote area of India, it is very difficult to get trained and experienced Nurses and it is all the more difficult to retain their services for a longer time with the meagre salary that the Hospitals here can offer. While Odisha can boast about having more educated youth than the neighbouring States and yet it being industrially and economically backward, it has very little employment avenues for these youths. Hence, the said Nurses’ Training Centre will very much help both the unemployed youth as well as the Centurion University to achieve its goals, and, at the same time, meet the growing demand of trained Nurses in the country. In fact, the demand, for more and more Nurses aboard, is increasing phenomenally. The success of China’s health programme owed greatly to the availability of not so much doctors as trained Nurses. According to the latest data while the country (India) needs at least 45,000 such female health workers, the availability is a little over 27,000. Nursing in India is the practice of care for medical patient in that nation. Its history indicates that the principles and practices of nursing are ancient. These ancient nursing practices are so clear, intelligent and scientific, that many of them might fit into any of the modern textbook. Prior to the 20th century, Indian nurses were usually young men, and only in special cases, women were taken for conducting childbirth. The progress of nursing in India was obstructed by the low status of women, the caste system, illiteracy and political unrest.

Scope of nursing in India
There was a time when professional nurses had very little choice of service because nursing was centred in the hospital and bedside nursing. Career opportunities are more varied now for a numbers of reasons. The lists of opportunities available are given under: 1. Positions in nursing education are clinical instructor, tutor, senior tutor, lecturer, and associate professor, Reader in nursing and Professor in nursing. 9. Industrial nurse Industrial nurses are providing first aid, care during illness, health educations about industrial hazards and prevention of accidents. 10. Military Nurse. Military Nursing service became a part of the Indian Army by which means nurses became commissioned officers who are given rank from liutenant to major general. 11. Nursing service abroad Attractive salaries and promising professional opportunities, which causes a major increase for nursing service in abroad. 12.Nursing service administrative positions. At the state level the Deputy Director of Nursing at the state health directorate. The highest administrative position on a national level is the Nursing Advisor to the Govt. of India. 13. Nursing leadership is not at all in India. There must be need of the strong leaders in India which may make the nursing level high. At this time India is suffering from the lack of good and actual leader in nursing.

Bhubaneswar: The heritage city…

1.2RESEARCH DESIGN
The research is a combination of both descriptive and numerical data. So, it is bilateral in nature.

Descriptive Data Analysis:
For Nursing Institutes

The data is arranged in a structured format and the analysis of the data is made to identify the scope of nursing in Bhubaneswar. What are facilities given to nursing students? The course structure they follow and their evaluation pattern. It is also to know their placement level and the internship given to them. The other details include the structure of the organisation and whether the institute is facing some kind of problem. It is also to know the seminars arranged for the students and is there any organisation directly or indirectly financing for the institute. The descriptive data also tells us to know the minimum qualification level required by an individual which make them eligible for the faculty post in a Nursing institute and the minimum qualification required for the students to join different nursing courses. Their course fees and hostel and mess charges. It also includes their course outcome and the number of students gets placed every year.
For Hospitals

With the structured data for the information acquired by survey and its analysis will give us clear information about the paramedical staff in different hospitals of Bhubaneswar. The basic idea of the survey is to find out the number of requirements of the paramedical staff in each hospital. The different post available for these staff members and how frequently they go for recruitment of these staff. Based on Nursing Institutes Based on Paramedical staff of Hospitals

Based on Nursing Institutes By this study we can create an awareness to our organisation as they are about to start a similar institute in Bhubaneswar. These data can be proved beneficial for the organization which will give them the targeted students and the fees structure to be implied. It will also help them to identify the certifying bodies and also the payments structure of the faculties at for different nursing courses offered. The organization will know which courses have high demand in nursing and accordingly they can plan out their vision. Based on Paramedical Staff Hospitals With the relevant information acquired the administrative members of the staff can know the requirement of the paramedical students in hospitals and accordingly they can plan out their placement strategy. Also they can know what kind of training is required in the hospital as fresher employees and accordingly they can train their students.

1.2 DATA COLLECTION SOURCES
Secondary Data Source
Information regarding the project, secondary data was also required. These data were collected from various past studies and other sources like newspapers and websites which qualified as reliable. The secondary information include data like the names of institutes comes within the limits of Bhubaneswar and the number of courses they have with their appropriate location. Other information like the syllabus structure according to INC and requirement of paramedical staff in nearest future.

Primary Data Source
The data is collected from the managing bodies and HR officials of different Nursing collages and Hospitals in Bhubaneswar Region. The data was collected in both structured and unstructured format. The structured format of data collection includes a questionnaire designed for both the managing bodies of Nursing institutes and official members of HR department in different hospitals. Then in the unstructured way of data collection a semi structured questionnaire was designed only for the HR Manager of different hospitals containing the questions to get information regarding their personal details like their qualification, years of experience and their contact information.

Research Instrument
We have used a structured and a semi structured questionnaire as our research instrument.

1.5 SAMPLING PLAN
We have used the simple random sampling method to divide the total population and accordingly select the sample size. As there are very less number of nursing institutes we nearly tried to cover all colleges and hospitals in a random basis.

Target Population:
Total number of Nursing Institutes and Hospital’s within Bhubaneswar.

Sampling Unit:
A member of the managing official of the Institute and an official from the HR Department of the Hospital’s when the research was conducted.

Sampling Method:
Simple Random Sampling method is used to conduct the research.

Sample Size:
The total sample size of the research was 7 officials from 7 different nursing colleges and 7 HR officials from 7 different Hospitals in Bhubaneswar. So, our total sample size is 14 officials of both nursing colleges and hospitals.

1.6ANALYTICAL TOOL
 Tabular and Graphical representation.

1.7CONTRIBUTION OF THE STUDY
The study gives complete information about the nursing colleges working procedure; it includes their course and evaluation pattern, the number of courses offered and requirement of the paramedical students in Bhubaneswar Hospital’s. The study will help in estimating the demand of paramedical students in Bhubaneswar and accordingly they can make their strategies.

1.8LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
As the time given to complete the project is lesser than actual time required completing similar studies, the quality of findings may get affected. As the survey is conducted for only the officials there is chances that they might have revealed wrong information. And the information might not be complete because of their busy schedules, for which they have not given us appropriate time to get the desired results.
