Ye new constitution.
Pramble: The goal of this organization is to assist students who identify with the umbrella term "pagan" in finding fellowship. We also attemp to provide education on our beliefs to the student body at large to foster a safer and more tolerant atmosphere for the entire campus. The name of this organization shall be, "O.A.T" Which stands for Oa , ash and thorn.

SECTION 2-Membership
!. "ny current student of mcc and university center are welcomed to attend, regardless of race, gender, class, creed, or religiouse affiliation. #. "nyone see ing membership will be as ed to see the $embership committe, and will be as ed for a couple of reasons why they would li e to %oin. Note: sitting in on sessions does not make yo a member! it makes yo a g est. To retain your place as a member in good standing you must !."ttend at least one meeting in a two month time frame. #. &onsistantly see to encourage rather than discourage your peers and not be a general negative influence. '. (e able to accept others with thoughts ideas and feelings diffrent than your own.

SECTION "-O##ICE$S !. The president, or
")igh priest" will remain so as long as he is able to carry out the duties of the position. The prsident,*#+ or "high priestess" will remain so as long as she is able to carry out the duties of the position. #. The membership committe or "the fates" are a three person group one of wich is the acting president. They also hold thier term for as long as they are able to carry out the duties of the position. . '.Treasurer*s+ or )ermes is also able to hold position as long as he is deemed able to

carry out the duties of his %ob.. ,ependant upon the volume of members the president may create temperary positions to delagate his power, the only power that cannot be delegated is his seat which means he is still bound to attend a ma%ority of the meetings.

2. every member in good standing is entitled to a vote of officers, these are counted in
secret ballot and the president tallies up the results *unless it-s for president in which case the membership committe does it+

3. .f an officer s found unfit for their position by the ma%ority a vote is held again by
secret ballot to determine why the ma%ority feels this way. "nother vote may be cast to determine the course of action or if the action is severe ..e stealing, fighting, or verbal abuse. the president may ta e e/ecutive action. if a officer is found unfit for thier %ob by a singular person it is to be ta en up with the membership committe. unless they are the accused in which case it can be ta en directly to the president.

4. 0acancies in office shall be filled by the president, unless it is the membership
committe in which case there will be a ma%ority vote.

The president(s),uties include but are not limited to Organizing, meetings, fund raisers, Trips, and any events. $a ing intentions nown to both the sponsor and any other faculty and staff that would find it pertinent. The general over run of the group and possiably getting group members training on topic sensativity and how to handle "rgumentative, or negative comments and discussion. The president*s+ can only *both+ miss 1 meetings a semester before a vote of office is held.

The membership 'ommitte- are a delagate that vote in a ma%ority rules
conte/t on the admittance of new members, they are also mediators when it comes to friction in the group. their %ob is to foster healthy relations and solutions to problems the group may face.

The treas rer- is resposiable for

eeping the boo s on profit and cost, also responsible for the handling of "ny money. "lso when calls need to be made for pizza or chinese, *s+he-s the the one to do it. *s+)e also should have a copy of all official records.

E*e'tions
"ll elections are by a ma%ority rule, e/cept for the initial one which will be done by the acting president, the only time the acting president has the ability to hand pic office is when he is the sole member of the group. " ma%ority can call an election2impeachment anytime the moon is full. (efore any votes are cast it is the membership committes resposibility to identify the problem and attemp to solve it. unless the problem is the membership comettee then it is the presidents %ob and vice versa.

Ad+isor
$cc faculty or staff members are made advisor*s+ by the vote of the committe. "dvisor duties shall include. A. 3nsuring that the organization is acting in accordance with the rules and guidlines of mcc b. "ct as a consultant for special pro%ects and committes c. "ttend student functions sec34 the advisor does not have voting privleges, but may offer his or her opinion iif the counsel re5uests.

A. 6unds will be used in the operation of "O.A.T" by a ma%ority vote

B. "ll finances shall be handled in accordance with the established $&& Policy and Procedure 7488.04b.
c. .n the event of loss of organization recognition, any funds remaining in the organization9s account shall be forfeited in accordance with the established $&& Policy and Procedure 74 88.04c

Meetings a. The regular meetings of the voting membership shall be held at least twice a month.
b. :pecial meetings may be called by either president or by two active members of the group c. 5ourum shall be a #2' meeting of the voting ma%ority.

Impeachment and Removal of Officers
A. Officers may be impeached and removed from office by a

two4thirds ma%ority of the voting members on the basis of not fulfilling their duties as outlined in the &onstitution and (y4;aws. b. "ny individual who is impeached shall be given full notice of the allegations against him2her and shall have an opportunity to respond to them. C. "ny four members may initiate impeachment proceedings

Amendments
A. "mendments may be proposed by both presidents, or by si/ of the active members. b. "mendments are then voted on by the ma%ority of active members. c. "ll "mendments to this &onstitution must be sent to the &oordinator, :tudent "ctivities for inclusion in the organizational file.

A'ti+e Stat s
A. .n order to maintain active status, the organization agrees to abide by those rules and regulations of $&& which pertain to all student organizations as outlined in the )ighlander 7uide and the $&& Policies and Procedures.
