Get Creative With Bookmarks and Win!
It’s that time of year again, when we encourage the children of Rowan County to share their artistic talents by participating in the annual Children’s Bookmark Contest! Entry forms for bookmarks will be available at the library, in schools, and online at www.rowan publiclibrary.org beginning Monday, October 29. The contest concludes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16. Entry forms must be turned in to any RPL location on or before this date. For questions or more information, please call 704-216-8234. Judges will award first, second, and third place prizes for each age group: 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 year olds. The three first-prize winners will have their bookmarks professionally printed and distributed at all library locations. Winners will be notified in December and honored at a special meeting of the Friends that month. This year, the Literary Bookpost and Chick-Fil-A join the Friends of Rowan Public Library in sponsoring this contest and have generously donated prizes for the top three winners in each age category.
