Pre-painting Steps Plaster
New masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. Allow 28 days as the curing time for new masonry surfaces.
Cleaning
Surface should be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Growth of fungus, algae or moss should be removed by wire brushes and water. In case of areas having excessive dampness, please use Asian Paints DampBlock to limit further dampness. When the underlying surface exhibits chalkiness, in spite of thorough surface cleaning, use Asian Paints Exterior Sealer.
Filling Cracks
For filling cracks up to 3mm use Asian Paints Crack Seal.
Filling For Holes & Dents
In case of dents and holes, use Asian Paints Wall Putty or a mix of white cement and fine sand in the ratio of 1:3.

Here the steps to using Asian Paints Aquadur PU Interior: Step 1
Cleaning: Sand the surface using Sand paper No. 180 followed by Sand Paper No. 320 or 400 and wipe the surface clean.
Step 2
Staining : Apply AQUADUR WB Stains, if required, by ragging. Allow to dry for 2 hours. Do not sand the stain coat.
Step 3
Sealing: Apply 2 coats of AQUADUR WB Clear Basecoat for Interior and Exterior by spray or brush or roller with 5-10% thinning with potable water. Give an inter coat interval of about 5 hrs. Sand with sand paper no. 320/400 between coats and before application of top coats.
Step 4
Finishing: Apply 2 coats of AQUADUR WB Clear Glossy Topcoat for Interiors or AQUADUR WB Matt Clear Topcoat for Interiors by spray or brush or roller with 5-10% thinning with potable water with an inter coat interval of about 5 hrs.
