Mkts likely to open marginally higher tracking +ve global cues. Sgx nifty +12 pts, hang seng +70 pts, dow fut +10 pts. Indices may face selling pressure at higher levels.
NIFTY BAROMETER Support 5005, 4990, 4956, 4932 Resistance 5042, 5066, 5112, 5138
DAILY WRAP Key benchmark indices surged, ending a two-day losing streak, as the latest data showed the economy expanded at a stronger-than-expected 7.9% pace in the second quarter. The bulk of the recovery was led by a 9.2% growth in manufacturing, while mining and construction activities also expanded by 9.5% and 6.5%, respectively. But agriculture continued to me a major drag with a mere 0.9% growth. However, intraday volatility was high. Today's rally was on the back of lower turnover. Asian stocks surged after UAE central bank on Sunday, offered additional liquidity to local and international banks in the UAE and reassured investors it "stands behind" the lenders. Also boosting the sentiments, global banks outside the Gulf said they were not heavily exposed to Dubai debt.
