I have read and reviewed all the mandatory events for the entire school year. I understand that membership in the BTHS chapter requires my child to fulfill all obligations to the best of his/her ability. I am fully aware of the number of days a member can be absent from general meetings and committee meetings and understand the reason why an absence note is required when a meeting is missed. I understand the need for fundraising and will allow my child to participate or I won’t let him/her participate, but simply pay the profit for which the fundraiser would have raised. I understand that an average of 85 is required and that when the average falls below this requirement, my child will be placed on probation for one semester to bring the average back to an 85 or above. An 84.9 is not acceptable; the Board of Education Honor Roll average is 85. For mandatory events, which usually fall on Saturdays, members who must fulfill religious obligations are required to bring in a letter. We ask that you adjust your calendars so these NHS obligations can be met. They are usually one day events.
