Prologue
Happiness?
Happiness is temporary. How can I say that? It’s because when I was young, I had a
happy and complete family but I guess life is really unfair because the happy and
complete family I once had is gone.
My Dad had a mistress, and I saw it with my own two little eyes. I felt devastated. I
assaulted him because of how painful I felt. My Mom came and stopped us, I told her
what I saw. Dad and Mom had a quarrel leading Dad to leave us. I thought that was a
good thing but it was wrong because of that my Mom was never been happy again, she
gave all her time to work and work.
Time came and I met my friends, we were 4 that time. We were happy with each other, I
thought that the happiness I felt would be everlasting but an incident happened. Jane
died. I cried and cried that time. I saw with my two eyes how she died. We were
incomplete that time but we had to accept it.
Another chapter came in our life, its college time. We took the exam in the University I
love. The University I dreamed of. We passed the exam and that’s a big challenge for us
because passing it wasn’t easy. It was so difficult to the point that all answers can be
possible.
Now that college days have come, we are now in our separate ways because we don’t
have the same course and schedules. Once again it made me conclude, happiness is
really just temporary.
But they say I make my own choice right? So I will make my own happiness. I will make it
according to what I want.

Chapter 1
Sabrina Cagampang
Nagising ako sa tunog ng alarm clock.
6 am
I yawned and took the pictures beside my table. I smiled and hugged it. This picture I am
hugging is my dream school. Ang University ito ang pinakapinapangarap kong school na
papasukan sa college life ko.
“Urios here I come.” I yelled at agad din naman akong tumayo upang maligo.
When I went to the cr, napatingin ako sa repleksyon ko sa salamin. How can I make an
achievement in my life as a college student?
I sighed at dahan-dahang tinangal ang malaki kong eyeglasses. Nilagay ko ito sa sink ng
banyo.
Ngayong college na ako, isang 16 years old na kumukuha ng kursong Hotel and
Restaurant Management. Kailangan kong magpakitang gilas sa larangan ito kasi ito ang
ginusto kong kurso at una ay ayaw kong madisappoint ang Mama ko kahit hindi niya ako
binibigyan ng importance okay lang basta ay hindi ko madagdagan ang rason para hindi
niya ako magustuhan pa.
Lumusong ako sa shower at pumikit.
Ano kaya ang mangyayari sa unang araw ko sa eskwela? Hindi ko magiging ka kurso ang
mga kaibigan kong si Dona at Aiza.
Nagsasabon na ako ng katawan ko at napabuntong hininga. Ito na nga ang
kinakatakutan ko eh. How can I make friends when in the first place I am not good at it?
Natapos na din ako sa pagliligo at nagbihis ng isang lose shirt at pantalon. Pinonytail ko
ang buhok ko at sinuot ang eyeglasses ko. Ito palagi ang suot ko sa pangaraw-araw ko.
Bumaba na akong bitbit ang bag ko at umupo para kumain ng breakfast.
“Yes sir. Opo no need to worry. Yes po papunta na po ako. I know.. Opo.. Sige
lang po.. Oo sige.” My mom said sa kausap niya sa phone. I didn’t bother looking at
her kasi alam kong maiinis lang ako kasi sinong matinong tao ang kumakausap sa
cellphone niya habang kumakain. Diba dapat kumain muna upang hindi umalis ang
grasya?
Bumuntong hinga ako at tumayo para magsipilyo kasi nawalan na ako ng gana.
“Opo pasakay na po ako sa kotse ko. Magkita na lang tayo.” She said and ended
the conversation, “Sabrina sasabay ka ba? Kasi nagmamadali ako kasi magiging
busy ako sa opisina.” I wanted to tell her na ‘kelan ka ba hindi naging busy?’ pero
hindi ko nalang sinabi.
“No need. I can take care of myself.” I said coldly.
“Suit yourself.” She said at nagmamadaling lumabas ng bahay haggang narinig ko ang
pagtunog ng makina ng sasakyan. Sign na pa alis na siya.
I sighed. Kailan ba ako sasaya ng tuluyan? My friends make me happy but it’s only
temporary because they will eventually be gone soon. Hindi na kami palaging
magkakasama kasi hindi na kami magkakacourse tapos magiging busy sa school.
I’m Sabrina Cagamapang and welcome to my story of making my own definition of
happiness.
Chapter 2
2nd Scene (School)
She walked and smiled while entering the school. She was looking side by side and you
can see in her eyes that she is amused in what she sees.
J: Wow!
She continued looking around and because of amusement she bumped into someone.
S:OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! (asking for alcohol)
Jes: Here. Here.
Jolie got confused: What’s the problem?
S: (glared) The problem is you! God! You can’t do that to me! Don’t you know me?
J: I’m sorry! I am new here, I’m Jolie. (grabbed her hand)
S: O-oh my god! G-germs.
Then Jes slapped Jolie’s hands.
Jes: God! Where’s your manners?
The three of them walked away but Jolie run after them.
J: Wait!
J, T and S: What?
J: I’m new here and can we be friends?
J, T & S: IN YOUR DREAMS, LOSER!!!
3rd scene (Jamming) Rainbow
Jolie went home sad.
A: School’s a blast.
J: How’s yours Jols?
Jol: Fine
A: Fine? I wasn’t expecting that from you. I was expecting you would probably blunt out
saying that Urios is so amazing and a such.
J: Yeah and look at you? Why aren’t you happy? It’s like you’ve been crashed.
Jol: Well.. Urios was always been amazing but..
A & J: But?
Jol: I met people.
A & J: And?
Jol: They’re kinda.. mean.
A & J: Owww. (in silent)
Jol: I just wanna be friends with them because your not always gonna be there.
A: But even if we are not always gonna be there with you because of our different
schedules, still we are your best friends. Nothings gonna change.
They both smiled.
(SINGING TIME)
They hugged each other, “FRIENDS FOREVER!”
4th scene
The next day went great for Jolie. She participated in class discussion and people noticed
her and the best thing is she impressed one of her teachers in her class.
Marj: Can somebody solve this equation in the board?
Jolie volunteered.
M: Wow! Good Miss Cagampang.
Marj: Okay because your classmate is good at this lesson and maybe you are all too. I
want you to answer pages, 5, 9, 12 and 15 in your book as an assignment next meeting.
Class dismissed!
The sassy girls looked at each other.
J: Sasha, do you understand the lesson?
S; Not a single thing.
T: Don’t ask me Jes because I slept.
J: How can we answer this?
S: Like duh?? Use Jolie
J: Bright Idea.
Jolie on the other hand was so clueless of what is happening because she is busy putting
her things inside her bag.
“Jolie?” someone called her.
She raised her head from bowing and looked at the person calling her. It was the three
girls who were so mean to her yesterday.
S: (smiled) Hello! Do you have anything to do today?
Jolie (shook head) Nothing why?
S: Let’s have lunch together.
Jol: Okay?
They walked together and she noticed a lot of people knew these girls because they are
a lot of them saying hi to them.
Someone passed by that caught her attention.
J: You know him?
Jolie shook her head.
J: Ow that’s Max, Sasha’s ex.
Jolie nodded.
J: Max is handsome right? You know what if Max wasn’t Sasha’s ex, I might grab him and
make him mine.
Jolie raised her eyebrows : You can be with him if you like him.
J: (shook her head) No dear, it’s against our rules.
Jol: Rules?
J: Yes rules and that’s don’t date your friend’s exes.
Jol: (eyes widen) Oww.
T: Here we are!
T: What do you want for lunch?
They told her what they want for lunch so Tiffany can order it already.
Sasha sat near Jolie.
S: Jolie do you have friends already in the university?
She shook her head.
S: Why?
Jol: I don’t know?
Jes and Sasha laughed.
S: We can be friends.
Jol: REALLY?
They looked at each other and shared an evil smiled, “Yes.”
Jol: Wow! Amazing. I didn’t expect this. Wow. My friends back in our place must been
shocked in what I will say to them. God.. I have new friends already.
S: But first please answer our assignment, we didn’t understand it.
5th Scene
Angelie and Joyce went to her house that day and saw her with her loaded of works.
They went near her.
J: Is it prelims already?
Jol: Almost.
A: Is that your homeworks? I guess that’s too many.
She shooked her head.
Jol: Mine and my friends.
J: Hey that’s wrong. Your friends must answer their homework by themselves. Look at us,
we are trying our best not to fail in this university because it’s expensive. Your friends
need to do it in their own.
Jol: But they can’t. They don’t know how.
A: Then teach them.
Jol: But they are busy.
J: With nonsense stuffs?
A: Are they just using you?
Jol: No.. No.. don’t judge my friends. They’re just busy ok?
A: I don’t know Jols but I’m thinking there is something wrong with your friends.
Joyce nodded.
Jol: No there isn’t. Someday, I’ll introduce them to you both and you’ll be pleased. Their
studious and hardworking students.
J: Okay if that’s what you say so. Let’s jam?
Jol: Sorry I can’t I’m loaded already.
A: But this is our only time to bond.
J: I’m sorry I just can’t. Please understand.
Both: Okay.
6th scene
(Inside The Classroom)
Jolie has arrived in school tired and sleepy. She was heading to her so called friends and
gave her their homework and sat down.
Then the bell rang and the teacher is now inside the classroom
T: Okay class get one fourth sheet of paper we are going to have a quiz” the teacher
said.
Jol: Omy gosh I didn’t study did you study?
T: No.
Jol: You? she asked Sasha and Jes and they shooked their head.
Jol: Why is it so easy for them to tell like they don’t even care that we are having a quiz?
T: Who’s the philosopher that said that man is the sole author of himself?
Jol: Huh? Who was it?? Ugh!
Tiffany silently opened her book: Oh it’s Soren
Jol:What? You opened your book? That’s cheating.
T: It’s the only way we can pass this quiz and I don’t want to get zero.
T: Shhhhhhh.. quiet, number two. Who said that the mind is the source of human
strength?
S:Oh it’s saint Augustine (while looking at her phone)
Jolie shooked her head “Oh God.”
T: Okay last number who is the father of existentialism?
J: Hay Thank God I can answer that.
T: Okay exchange papers, number one Soren Kierkegaard, number two Saint Augustine
and last Jean Paul Sartre. Score times five.
Jol: Huh? Times five??
“Wooo! Perfect!” the girls said.
Sasha: (smiled) Sometimes you need to do things which you know is not proper to
survive life. After saying it she was now busy checking her mails.
Tiffany moved toward her, “If you want to be so close with us you need to excel. You
need to be good, better and the best of the best. Being with us, the populars. Being good
is an understatement because the best is the perfect word to describe us..”
After that mini quiz the teacher discussed their new lesson but Jolie’s mind is not in the
classroom. She is busy analysing what Tiffany told her. She really want to be with them,
she wants to be the popular. (Drawing..)
When she raised her head, she saw Max passed through and smiled while looking in his
phone.
“Oh God Israel is really a flirt.” Sasha giggled and that caught her attention.
“Your together again with Max Sas?” Jes asked and her heart beat fast.
Sasha looked at Jes and smiled, “No..” she felt relief but not so much with her next
statement, “But soon it will.” Then she laughed.
“Class dismissed.” Teacher.
“Girls, I need to go.” Jolie said to her friends.
“Yeah yeah.. Don’t forget my History assignment friend.” Jes said sweetly.
She nodded, “Yeah and your report Sas, I already sent it to your email.”
Sasha smiled, “Yeah I received it.”
The three of them kissed her cheeks and said goodbye, “And this Saturday, 1pm let’s go
to the mall and shop. O M G!I’M EXCITING!” –Tiffany
She nodded and left.

8th scene
Jolie, Angelie and Joyce hand in hand went to their best friend’s death anniversary.
Angelie bent down and smiled, “How are you there Jane? We missed you best. It been 2
years already since you left us but the memories is still here, close in our hearts.”
Joyce laughed, “Emotional Angelie. Hahaha! Yeah we missed you best but I know you’re
happy there already.”
“I know Jane will guide us here and we love you for that best. See you soon!” Jolie said.
“Because we know you always love us singing with you so here we are your crazy besties
ready to make you more happy in heaven.” Jolie added and strummed her guitar.
After singing
“Wow! Jolie nailed the song.” Joyce.
“Ayeeee.. You have inspiration right? Is it love?” Angelie
Jolie blushed, “Yeah but he doesn’t like me.”
“Maybe because you need to dress well. Look at you.. You are already a teenager so you
need to dress well. No lose shirt and get that nerdy glasses off.” Joyce
“Yeah, maybe a little bit make over will do.” Angelie
“You think so?” Jolie.
“Yes.”
Jolie nodded and looked at her watch and was shocked when she realized it’s almost one.
“Oh God! I have to go.” She said.
“But we already promised ourselves that this day will just be between us and Jane and
now what Jols?” Angelie
“I’m sorry but I have projects that are needed to be passed.” Jolie.
Joyce sighed, “Just go Jols if that’s important than this but I’m so sorry we are so
disappointed in you.”
Jolie left even with her heart devastated.
9th scene MALL
The three arrived early.
“I’m super excited! I want to buy new clothes, accessories, sandals and bag. Gosh!” –
Sasha
“Jolie’s not here?” Tiffany.
“Maybe she’s late but she must really be here because she needs to bring our bags.” Jes
Jolie rushed inside and looked for them, “This phone is so useless! Urrrgh! Why now?
Why are you low bat at this time of emergency?”
She looked at the place and because she wasn’t paying attention to the others walking
she bumped into Max.
“Ouch!” she shouted.
Max gotten alarmed and catch her. They looked and each other and Jolie blushed
realizing how fast and loud her heartbeat was.
The spark they felt broke because of Sasha’s voice, “Babe.” She let Jolie go and walked
near Sasha and gave her a kiss in the cheeks.
Sasha looked at Jolie and walked near her. She kissed her cheeks and whispered
something,
“Always remember this Jols, what’s mine is mine.” She said and went back to Max and
hold his hand.
Max and Sasha walked together hand in hand and followed by Jes and Tiffany. She
walked near them and earned a glare.
“Max is Sasha’s property so back off.” Jes.
“I didn’t do anything. He just tried to help me.” Jolie
“Good because Sasha doesn’t share.”Tiffany
(Act2)
The girls bought what they want and gave it Jolie. Jolie wore the dress that caught Max’s
attention. She giggled by the sight of Max liking her. It wouldn’t be impossible right?
While walking, Max met her friends and was asked to join them with man’s stuffs. So Max
went near them and left Sasha.
“Isn’t Max the sweetest?” Tiffany said as Max whispered sweet words to Sasha who is
annoyed by the fact Max wants to have fun with his friends.
“Okay bye.” Max said.
Sasha wave her hand at him.
“Let’s eat, I’m hungry.” – Jes
While walking Jolie caught a sight of her best friends.
“Oh look who’s here Tif.” Jes said.
Tiffany smirked, “The good girls that we slapped.”
“Who did you slap?” Jolie asked.
“Those girls.” She said and pointed Angelie and Joyce.
“Those girls bring the crap of me. They beg us to give money for the church through
singing and I didn’t gave them but they annoyed the hell out of me so I slapped their
faces and because they shouted at what I did, Sasha got annoyed too and slapped them
and Jes just for boredom slap them too..” she laughed, “So funny!”
“But that’s bad.” Jolie said.
“They deserve it. No one uses the name of God for their own. If I know those girls just
don’t have money for their needs and uses God to get money. Psh, pathetic losers.
What’s the use of plaza? They can just use their selves.”
“Hey Tiffany that’s below the belt.” Jolie defended her friends.
“If you don’t like my attitude and doesn’t like what we did then you are free to leave
Jolie.” Sasha, “We don’t need you here.”
10th scene (party2)
11th scene (mirror)
Jolie looked at the mirror, “What’s lacking? We are already friends. He talks to me and
smile to me but it’s not enough. He said they’re not together so I still have a chance
right? What should I do?”
12th scene (Jolie changed)
Angelie and Joyce went near Jolie.
“Jols is that you?” Joyce
Jolie smiled.
“Ewww… Jolie you know them?”
Jolie looked at them alternatively.
(Flashback)
“If you don’t want us then you are free to leave Jolie.” Sasha, “We don’t need you here.”
“No.” she said and left.
A: She rejected us?
J: Is she afraid that people will know we are friends with her?
A: She maybe prettier than before but her attitude stinks.
13th scene (Caf)
(Max surprised Jolie)
Jolie: Max.
(Akbay) Max: What’s the problem Jols?
J: Nothing
M: Come on tell me..
J: Well, I have this crush but I guess the feeling’s not mutual.
M: Then that man is blind. How can a guy don’t like you? Look at you.. Pretty, bubbly and
lovable. What’s more can you ask for?
13th scene
(The next day in the cafeteria)
“I’m bored”. –Jes
“Yah I’m too lazy to study.”-Sasha
Then Tiffany got an idea. “Hey girls, why don’t we cut class? Just for this day we didn’t
have any absences yet .” –Tiffany
“Ohhh great idea!”-Jes
“But we’re going to have a quiz remember?” –Jolie
“No buts we should have fun sometimes”-Sasha
“C’mon Let’s Go!”-Tiffany
14th scene
(At Whatever)
15th Scene
After having fun with her friends Jolie was heading home drunk and dizzy until max saw
her.
Max: “Jolie what happen to you? Your drunk?” then max smelled her and said
“PHEW You smell like beer!”
Jolie: Max. (paused) I like you. zZzZz..
15th scene (Max’s house)
Jolie woke up and yawned.
Jolie: Ouch my head hurts! Where am I? (Max came out from the CR)
M: Good Morning..
Jolie’s eyes widen.
J: Did we do something weird?
M: Kind of.
J: (whispered) I’m not virgin anymore..
M: What?
J: You took my innocent. I’m not pure already. I can’t be able to give my virginity to my
husband because as young as I am now, I am not PURE. (cry)
M: Wha-what? No.. No.. that’s not what happened.
(flashback)
J: I like you.
M: I like you too.
Jolie smiled and they both looked at each other. Their lips were so close when Jolie
vomited.
(end of flashback)
J: I’m sorry Max (hugged him) But seriously? You like me?
M: Uhm.. yes
Jolie smiled and teased him.
16th scene
Sasha: Hey you!
J: (Smile) Sas—Woaaah! Wait a minute. What’s going on?
T: You’re asking us what’s going on when it’s absolutely you.
J: Huh?
S: You’re such a slut Jolie. I’ve been good to you even but how can you steal Max from
me.
J: I didn’t steal anything because in the first place you aren’t together.
Jes: Oh the cat already got her tongue huh? Let’s see if that mouth of yours can still be
used if we will make it bleed.
T: Stop Jes we don’t waste our time with beating the hell out of this slut.
S: I warned you before that what’s mine is mine but still disobeyed my warning.
J: What’s wrong with you Sasha? You and Max are already over but why are being like
this? There are lots of men who can be with you but me? It’s only Max I want. He is the
only one I like and love.
S: Because life is a beauty pageant. I need to win, I need to win. It is only me because I’
am superior and almighty.
J: Your unbelievable.
S: (smiled) I never wanted to be friends with you but because I need you to make my
assignments and project that’s why I called you a friend even if it brings disgust in me. I
thought someone like you can never be a threat and an enemy but I was wrong. Calling
you a friend and making you one of us is a mistake.
J: So all this time you were all just using me?
The three laughed, “Bingo.”
(fight scene)
M: Hey stop it!
S: Babe. Huhu. Jolie is so mean. Look at what she did?
J: Yes Max, she doesn’t deserve you.
Jolie shook her head: They hurt me Max. All this time, they were just using me for their
own means.
Max hugged Jolie: Sshh.. Stop crying Jols.
17th scene
Classmate1: Jolie I heard what happen. I really know that, that girls are bad.
Classmate2: Yes, they must rot in hell. We are so sorry about what happen.
18th scene
Jolie saw Angelie ang Joyce with their new friends.
M: Do you wanna be with them?
Jolie shook her head: Their already happy without me.
M: Ok, if you say so.
(Friends passing by)
Girl1: Uy.. Hi Jols!

(bump)
Jolie: OH MY GOD! Look what you’ve done? Don’t you know this cause a fortune and not
even you can pay this. Urrgh!
Girl 2: I’m sorry president.
J: Leave!
M: Jols that’s wrong.
J: What’s wrong with it Max? That was just right for her to learn her lesson.
(disco)
J: Come on Max let’s dance.
M: Jols you changed.
J: I know and it’s for the best!
M: No you change for the worst.
J: But I’m loving this new me.
M: But that new you will ruin us.
Jolie was speechless and Max left.
18th scene
(pariwala)
Arah: Jolie what happened to you? Look at your grade. This is like a rotten egg.
Jolie: Oh you cared? (bored tone)
A: What? What happened to my daughter?
Jolie laughed: Oh God Mother stop being like a amazing mother because the truth you
are not.
Arah slapped Jolie.
J: You don’t have the right to slap me. Are you hurt? Well I don’t care because in the first
place you never showed me sympathy with all the pain you caused me. You never been
there for me and now what? Just because I got low grades now you showing me your
care, love and affection? Or am I just hallucinating? Because all you ever know is making
me feel invisible. Like I wasn’t living at all.
A: No.. No.. I care for you sweetheart.. It’s just.. I’m busy with work.
J: With work or escaping reality? I was the reason why Dad left. I told you she has a
mistress and since that day came you never been the same. Sometimes I wished I never
was born, sometimes I wished I die. Maybe just maybe you’ll laugh and smile again.
A: Loving your Dad wasn’t a mistake for me sweetheart because of our love you were
formed. I know I may not be a good mother but I never stopped loving you, my only
daughter. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to stop the gap between us. I’m so sorry I’ve been a bad
mother. I’m sorry Jolie.
Arah hugged Jolie and kissed her forehead.
A: Mommy loves you.
20th scene (school)
Jolie was about to go to her classroom when she saw Angelie and Joyce laughing
together. She sighed and said, “I can do this.” She walked near them.
J: Guys can we talk?
(silent and looked at each other)
A: Sure.
J: Guys I’m sorry I’ve been so stupid. I was blinded by popularity and sorry for rejecting
you. I know it’s been a stupid thing rejecting my best friends to them. Will you forgive
me?
Angelie and Joyce looked at each other.
J: In one condition.
A: Let’s jam.
Jolie and her friends was about to start a jam when suddenly the 3 girls walks towards
them.
Sasha:” Uhm .. Jolie.. We are here to apologize for all the bad things that we did to you.”
Tiffany: “ Yes Sasha’s right we’re sorry for using you”.
Jolie then smiled to them and said “ It’s okay I’m sorry too.”
Jes: So friends?
A,J & J : “FRIENDS!!”
They start the Jam
21st Scene
The girls then approach Max’s friends and whispered their plan. The boys agreed to their
plan.
While was waiting for his service, the boys abducted him.
Max woke up.
Then Jolie sang a song.
Max looked at her and smiled.
Jolie: I’m sorry Max I know I was wrong and I’m sorry it takes too long for me to figure out
my mistakes.
Max hugged her and said “It’s okay I understand, at least now you know your mistakes.”
While Jolie and Max were looking at the sunset her friends appeared and splash water to
them.
A: Hey! You’re too much cheesy!!
(Running)
Ending
Happiness?
It’s when you have the person you love, love you. It’s when your friends give you
strength in life’s struggles and your mother who always held you high when you are
down. I may not have the perfect life but with these people, I am happy and contented.
Thank you God for giving them to me.

incomplete that time but we had to accept it.
Another chapter came in our life, its college time. We took the exam in the University I
love. The University I dreamed of. We passed the exam and that’s a big challenge for us
because passing it wasn’t easy. It was so difficult to the point that all answers can be
possible.
Now that college days have come, we are now in our separate ways because we don’t
have the same course and schedules. Once again it made me conclude, happiness is
really just temporary.
But they say I make my own choice right? So I will make my own happiness. I will make it
according to what I want.

Chapter 1
Sabrina Cagampang
Nagising ako sa tunog ng alarm clock.
6 am
I yawned and took the pictures beside my table. I smiled and hugged it. This picture I am
hugging is my dream school. Ang University ito ang pinakapinapangarap kong school na
papasukan sa college life ko.
“Urios here I come.” I yelled at agad din naman akong tumayo upang maligo.
When I went to the cr, napatingin ako sa repleksyon ko sa salamin. How can I make an
achievement in my life as a college student?
I sighed at dahan-dahang tinangal ang malaki kong eyeglasses. Nilagay ko ito sa sink ng
banyo.
Ngayong college na ako, isang 16 years old na kumukuha ng kursong Hotel and
Restaurant Management. Kailangan kong magpakitang gilas sa larangan ito kasi ito ang
ginusto kong kurso at una ay ayaw kong madisappoint ang Mama ko kahit hindi niya ako
binibigyan ng importance okay lang basta ay hindi ko madagdagan ang rason para hindi
niya ako magustuhan pa.
Lumusong ako sa shower at pumikit.
Ano kaya ang mangyayari sa unang araw ko sa eskwela? Hindi ko magiging ka kurso ang
mga kaibigan kong si Dona at Aiza.
Nagsasabon na ako ng katawan ko at napabuntong hininga. Ito na nga ang
kinakatakutan ko eh. How can I make friends when in the first place I am not good at it?
Natapos na din ako sa pagliligo at nagbihis ng isang lose shirt at pantalon. Pinonytail ko
ang buhok ko at sinuot ang eyeglasses ko. Ito palagi ang suot ko sa pangaraw-araw ko.
Bumaba na akong bitbit ang bag ko at umupo para kumain ng breakfast.
“Yes sir. Opo no need to worry. Yes po papunta na po ako. I know.. Opo.. Sige
lang po.. Oo sige.” My mom said sa kausap niya sa phone. I didn’t bother looking at
her kasi alam kong maiinis lang ako kasi sinong matinong tao ang kumakausap sa
cellphone niya habang kumakain. Diba dapat kumain muna upang hindi umalis ang
grasya?
Bumuntong hinga ako at tumayo para magsipilyo kasi nawalan na ako ng gana.
“Opo pasakay na po ako sa kotse ko. Magkita na lang tayo.” She said and ended
the conversation, “Sabrina sasabay ka ba? Kasi nagmamadali ako kasi magiging
busy ako sa opisina.” I wanted to tell her na ‘kelan ka ba hindi naging busy?’ pero
hindi ko nalang sinabi.
“No need. I can take care of myself.” I said coldly.
“Suit yourself.” She said at nagmamadaling lumabas ng bahay haggang narinig ko ang
pagtunog ng makina ng sasakyan. Sign na pa alis na siya.
I sighed. Kailan ba ako sasaya ng tuluyan? My friends make me happy but it’s only
temporary because they will eventually be gone soon. Hindi na kami palaging
magkakasama kasi hindi na kami magkakacourse tapos magiging busy sa school.

Chapter 2
2nd Scene (School)
She walked and smiled while entering the school. She was looking side by side and you
can see in her eyes that she is amused in what she sees.
J: Wow!
She continued looking around and because of amusement she bumped into someone.
S:OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH! (asking for alcohol)
Jes: Here. Here.
Jolie got confused: What’s the problem?
S: (glared) The problem is you! God! You can’t do that to me! Don’t you know me?
J: I’m sorry! I am new here, I’m Jolie. (grabbed her hand)
S: O-oh my god! G-germs.
Then Jes slapped Jolie’s hands.
Jes: God! Where’s your manners?
The three of them walked away but Jolie run after them.
J: Wait!
J, T and S: What?
J: I’m new here and can we be friends?
J, T & S: IN YOUR DREAMS, LOSER!!!
3rd scene (Jamming) Rainbow
Jolie went home sad.
A: School’s a blast.
J: How’s yours Jols?
Jol: Fine
A: Fine? I wasn’t expecting that from you. I was expecting you would probably blunt out
saying that Urios is so amazing and a such.
J: Yeah and look at you? Why aren’t you happy? It’s like you’ve been crashed.
Jol: Well.. Urios was always been amazing but..
A & J: But?
Jol: I met people.
A & J: And?
Jol: They’re kinda.. mean.
A & J: Owww. (in silent)
Jol: I just wanna be friends with them because your not always gonna be there.
A: But even if we are not always gonna be there with you because of our different
schedules, still we are your best friends. Nothings gonna change.
They both smiled.
(SINGING TIME)
They hugged each other, “FRIENDS FOREVER!”
4th scene
The next day went great for Jolie. She participated in class discussion and people noticed
her and the best thing is she impressed one of her teachers in her class.
Marj: Can somebody solve this equation in the board?
Jolie volunteered.
M: Wow! Good Miss Cagampang.
Marj: Okay because your classmate is good at this lesson and maybe you are all too. I
want you to answer pages, 5, 9, 12 and 15 in your book as an assignment next meeting.
Class dismissed!
The sassy girls looked at each other.
J: Sasha, do you understand the lesson?
S; Not a single thing.
T: Don’t ask me Jes because I slept.
J: How can we answer this?
S: Like duh?? Use Jolie
J: Bright Idea.
Jolie on the other hand was so clueless of what is happening because she is busy putting
her things inside her bag.
“Jolie?” someone called her.
She raised her head from bowing and looked at the person calling her. It was the three
girls who were so mean to her yesterday.
S: (smiled) Hello! Do you have anything to do today?
Jolie (shook head) Nothing why?
S: Let’s have lunch together.
Jol: Okay?
They walked together and she noticed a lot of people knew these girls because they are
a lot of them saying hi to them.
Someone passed by that caught her attention.
J: You know him?
Jolie shook her head.
J: Ow that’s Max, Sasha’s ex.
Jolie nodded.
J: Max is handsome right? You know what if Max wasn’t Sasha’s ex, I might grab him and
make him mine.
Jolie raised her eyebrows : You can be with him if you like him.
J: (shook her head) No dear, it’s against our rules.
Jol: Rules?
J: Yes rules and that’s don’t date your friend’s exes.
Jol: (eyes widen) Oww.
T: Here we are!
T: What do you want for lunch?
They told her what they want for lunch so Tiffany can order it already.
Sasha sat near Jolie.
S: Jolie do you have friends already in the university?
She shook her head.
S: Why?
Jol: I don’t know?
Jes and Sasha laughed.
S: We can be friends.
Jol: REALLY?
They looked at each other and shared an evil smiled, “Yes.”
Jol: Wow! Amazing. I didn’t expect this. Wow. My friends back in our place must been
shocked in what I will say to them. God.. I have new friends already.
S: But first please answer our assignment, we didn’t understand it.
5th Scene
Angelie and Joyce went to her house that day and saw her with her loaded of works.
They went near her.
J: Is it prelims already?
Jol: Almost.
A: Is that your homeworks? I guess that’s too many.
She shooked her head.
Jol: Mine and my friends.
J: Hey that’s wrong. Your friends must answer their homework by themselves. Look at us,
we are trying our best not to fail in this university because it’s expensive. Your friends
need to do it in their own.
Jol: But they can’t. They don’t know how.
A: Then teach them.
Jol: But they are busy.
J: With nonsense stuffs?
A: Are they just using you?
Jol: No.. No.. don’t judge my friends. They’re just busy ok?
A: I don’t know Jols but I’m thinking there is something wrong with your friends.
Joyce nodded.
Jol: No there isn’t. Someday, I’ll introduce them to you both and you’ll be pleased. Their
studious and hardworking students.
J: Okay if that’s what you say so. Let’s jam?
Jol: Sorry I can’t I’m loaded already.
A: But this is our only time to bond.
J: I’m sorry I just can’t. Please understand.
Both: Okay.
6th scene
(Inside The Classroom)
Jolie has arrived in school tired and sleepy. She was heading to her so called friends and
gave her their homework and sat down.
Then the bell rang and the teacher is now inside the classroom
T: Okay class get one fourth sheet of paper we are going to have a quiz” the teacher
said.
Jol: Omy gosh I didn’t study did you study?
T: No.
Jol: You? she asked Sasha and Jes and they shooked their head.
Jol: Why is it so easy for them to tell like they don’t even care that we are having a quiz?
T: Who’s the philosopher that said that man is the sole author of himself?
Jol: Huh? Who was it?? Ugh!
Tiffany silently opened her book: Oh it’s Soren
Jol:What? You opened your book? That’s cheating.
T: It’s the only way we can pass this quiz and I don’t want to get zero.
T: Shhhhhhh.. quiet, number two. Who said that the mind is the source of human
strength?
S:Oh it’s saint Augustine (while looking at her phone)
Jolie shooked her head “Oh God.”
T: Okay last number who is the father of existentialism?
J: Hay Thank God I can answer that.
T: Okay exchange papers, number one Soren Kierkegaard, number two Saint Augustine
and last Jean Paul Sartre. Score times five.
Jol: Huh? Times five??
“Wooo! Perfect!” the girls said.
Sasha: (smiled) Sometimes you need to do things which you know is not proper to
survive life. After saying it she was now busy checking her mails.
Tiffany moved toward her, “If you want to be so close with us you need to excel. You
need to be good, better and the best of the best. Being with us, the populars. Being good
is an understatement because the best is the perfect word to describe us..”
After that mini quiz the teacher discussed their new lesson but Jolie’s mind is not in the
classroom. She is busy analysing what Tiffany told her. She really want to be with them,
she wants to be the popular. (Drawing..)
When she raised her head, she saw Max passed through and smiled while looking in his
phone.
“Oh God Israel is really a flirt.” Sasha giggled and that caught her attention.
“Your together again with Max Sas?” Jes asked and her heart beat fast.
Sasha looked at Jes and smiled, “No..” she felt relief but not so much with her next
statement, “But soon it will.” Then she laughed.
“Class dismissed.” Teacher.
“Girls, I need to go.” Jolie said to her friends.
“Yeah yeah.. Don’t forget my History assignment friend.” Jes said sweetly.
She nodded, “Yeah and your report Sas, I already sent it to your email.”
Sasha smiled, “Yeah I received it.”
The three of them kissed her cheeks and said goodbye, “And this Saturday, 1pm let’s go
to the mall and shop. O M G!I’M EXCITING!” –Tiffany
She nodded and left.

Jolie, Angelie and Joyce hand in hand went to their best friend’s death anniversary.
Angelie bent down and smiled, “How are you there Jane? We missed you best. It been 2
years already since you left us but the memories is still here, close in our hearts.”
Joyce laughed, “Emotional Angelie. Hahaha! Yeah we missed you best but I know you’re
happy there already.”
“I know Jane will guide us here and we love you for that best. See you soon!” Jolie said.
“Because we know you always love us singing with you so here we are your crazy besties
ready to make you more happy in heaven.” Jolie added and strummed her guitar.
After singing
“Wow! Jolie nailed the song.” Joyce.
“Ayeeee.. You have inspiration right? Is it love?” Angelie
Jolie blushed, “Yeah but he doesn’t like me.”
“Maybe because you need to dress well. Look at you.. You are already a teenager so you
need to dress well. No lose shirt and get that nerdy glasses off.” Joyce
“Yeah, maybe a little bit make over will do.” Angelie
“You think so?” Jolie.
“Yes.”
Jolie nodded and looked at her watch and was shocked when she realized it’s almost one.
“Oh God! I have to go.” She said.
“But we already promised ourselves that this day will just be between us and Jane and
now what Jols?” Angelie
“I’m sorry but I have projects that are needed to be passed.” Jolie.
Joyce sighed, “Just go Jols if that’s important than this but I’m so sorry we are so
disappointed in you.”
Jolie left even with her heart devastated.
9th scene MALL
The three arrived early.
“I’m super excited! I want to buy new clothes, accessories, sandals and bag. Gosh!” –
Sasha
“Jolie’s not here?” Tiffany.
“Maybe she’s late but she must really be here because she needs to bring our bags.” Jes
Jolie rushed inside and looked for them, “This phone is so useless! Urrrgh! Why now?
Why are you low bat at this time of emergency?”
She looked at the place and because she wasn’t paying attention to the others walking
she bumped into Max.
“Ouch!” she shouted.
Max gotten alarmed and catch her. They looked and each other and Jolie blushed
realizing how fast and loud her heartbeat was.
The spark they felt broke because of Sasha’s voice, “Babe.” She let Jolie go and walked
near Sasha and gave her a kiss in the cheeks.
Sasha looked at Jolie and walked near her. She kissed her cheeks and whispered
something,
“Always remember this Jols, what’s mine is mine.” She said and went back to Max and
hold his hand.
Max and Sasha walked together hand in hand and followed by Jes and Tiffany. She
walked near them and earned a glare.
“Max is Sasha’s property so back off.” Jes.
“I didn’t do anything. He just tried to help me.” Jolie
“Good because Sasha doesn’t share.”Tiffany
(Act2)
The girls bought what they want and gave it Jolie. Jolie wore the dress that caught Max’s
attention. She giggled by the sight of Max liking her. It wouldn’t be impossible right?
While walking, Max met her friends and was asked to join them with man’s stuffs. So Max
went near them and left Sasha.
“Isn’t Max the sweetest?” Tiffany said as Max whispered sweet words to Sasha who is
annoyed by the fact Max wants to have fun with his friends.
“Okay bye.” Max said.
Sasha wave her hand at him.
“Let’s eat, I’m hungry.” – Jes
While walking Jolie caught a sight of her best friends.
“Oh look who’s here Tif.” Jes said.
Tiffany smirked, “The good girls that we slapped.”
“Who did you slap?” Jolie asked.
“Those girls.” She said and pointed Angelie and Joyce.
“Those girls bring the crap of me. They beg us to give money for the church through
singing and I didn’t gave them but they annoyed the hell out of me so I slapped their
faces and because they shouted at what I did, Sasha got annoyed too and slapped them
and Jes just for boredom slap them too..” she laughed, “So funny!”
“But that’s bad.” Jolie said.
“They deserve it. No one uses the name of God for their own. If I know those girls just
don’t have money for their needs and uses God to get money. Psh, pathetic losers.
What’s the use of plaza? They can just use their selves.”
“Hey Tiffany that’s below the belt.” Jolie defended her friends.
“If you don’t like my attitude and doesn’t like what we did then you are free to leave
Jolie.” Sasha, “We don’t need you here.”

11th scene (mirror)
Jolie looked at the mirror, “What’s lacking? We are already friends. He talks to me and
smile to me but it’s not enough. He said they’re not together so I still have a chance
right? What should I do?”
12th scene (Jolie changed)
Angelie and Joyce went near Jolie.
“Jols is that you?” Joyce
Jolie smiled.
“Ewww… Jolie you know them?”
Jolie looked at them alternatively.
(Flashback)
“If you don’t want us then you are free to leave Jolie.” Sasha, “We don’t need you here.”
“No.” she said and left.
A: She rejected us?
J: Is she afraid that people will know we are friends with her?
A: She maybe prettier than before but her attitude stinks.
13th scene (Caf)
(Max surprised Jolie)
Jolie: Max.
(Akbay) Max: What’s the problem Jols?
J: Nothing
M: Come on tell me..
J: Well, I have this crush but I guess the feeling’s not mutual.
M: Then that man is blind. How can a guy don’t like you? Look at you.. Pretty, bubbly and
lovable. What’s more can you ask for?
13th scene
(The next day in the cafeteria)
“I’m bored”. –Jes
“Yah I’m too lazy to study.”-Sasha
Then Tiffany got an idea. “Hey girls, why don’t we cut class? Just for this day we didn’t
have any absences yet .” –Tiffany
“Ohhh great idea!”-Jes
“But we’re going to have a quiz remember?” –Jolie
“No buts we should have fun sometimes”-Sasha
“C’mon Let’s Go!”-Tiffany
14th scene
(At Whatever)
15th Scene
After having fun with her friends Jolie was heading home drunk and dizzy until max saw
her.
Max: “Jolie what happen to you? Your drunk?” then max smelled her and said
“PHEW You smell like beer!”
Jolie: Max. (paused) I like you. zZzZz..
15th scene (Max’s house)
Jolie woke up and yawned.
Jolie: Ouch my head hurts! Where am I? (Max came out from the CR)
M: Good Morning..
Jolie’s eyes widen.
J: Did we do something weird?
M: Kind of.
J: (whispered) I’m not virgin anymore..
M: What?
J: You took my innocent. I’m not pure already. I can’t be able to give my virginity to my
husband because as young as I am now, I am not PURE. (cry)
M: Wha-what? No.. No.. that’s not what happened.
(flashback)
J: I like you.
M: I like you too.
Jolie smiled and they both looked at each other. Their lips were so close when Jolie
vomited.
(end of flashback)
J: I’m sorry Max (hugged him) But seriously? You like me?
M: Uhm.. yes
Jolie smiled and teased him.

Sasha: Hey you!
J: (Smile) Sas—Woaaah! Wait a minute. What’s going on?
T: You’re asking us what’s going on when it’s absolutely you.
J: Huh?
S: You’re such a slut Jolie. I’ve been good to you even but how can you steal Max from
me.
J: I didn’t steal anything because in the first place you aren’t together.
Jes: Oh the cat already got her tongue huh? Let’s see if that mouth of yours can still be
used if we will make it bleed.
T: Stop Jes we don’t waste our time with beating the hell out of this slut.
S: I warned you before that what’s mine is mine but still disobeyed my warning.
J: What’s wrong with you Sasha? You and Max are already over but why are being like
this? There are lots of men who can be with you but me? It’s only Max I want. He is the
only one I like and love.
S: Because life is a beauty pageant. I need to win, I need to win. It is only me because I’
am superior and almighty.
J: Your unbelievable.
S: (smiled) I never wanted to be friends with you but because I need you to make my
assignments and project that’s why I called you a friend even if it brings disgust in me. I
thought someone like you can never be a threat and an enemy but I was wrong. Calling
you a friend and making you one of us is a mistake.
J: So all this time you were all just using me?
The three laughed, “Bingo.”
(fight scene)
M: Hey stop it!
S: Babe. Huhu. Jolie is so mean. Look at what she did?
J: Yes Max, she doesn’t deserve you.
Jolie shook her head: They hurt me Max. All this time, they were just using me for their
own means.
Max hugged Jolie: Sshh.. Stop crying Jols.
17th scene
Classmate1: Jolie I heard what happen. I really know that, that girls are bad.
Classmate2: Yes, they must rot in hell. We are so sorry about what happen.
18th scene
Jolie saw Angelie ang Joyce with their new friends.
M: Do you wanna be with them?
Jolie shook her head: Their already happy without me.
M: Ok, if you say so.
(Friends passing by)
Girl1: Uy.. Hi Jols!

even you can pay this. Urrgh!

J: Leave!

J: Come on Max let’s dance.
M: Jols you changed.
J: I know and it’s for the best!
M: No you change for the worst.
J: But I’m loving this new me.
M: But that new you will ruin us.
Jolie was speechless and Max left.
18th scene

Arah: Jolie what happened to you? Look at your grade. This is like a rotten egg.
Jolie: Oh you cared? (bored tone)
A: What? What happened to my daughter?
Jolie laughed: Oh God Mother stop being like a amazing mother because the truth you
are not.
Arah slapped Jolie.
J: You don’t have the right to slap me. Are you hurt? Well I don’t care because in the first
place you never showed me sympathy with all the pain you caused me. You never been
there for me and now what? Just because I got low grades now you showing me your
care, love and affection? Or am I just hallucinating? Because all you ever know is making
me feel invisible. Like I wasn’t living at all.
A: No.. No.. I care for you sweetheart.. It’s just.. I’m busy with work.
J: With work or escaping reality? I was the reason why Dad left. I told you she has a
mistress and since that day came you never been the same. Sometimes I wished I never
was born, sometimes I wished I die. Maybe just maybe you’ll laugh and smile again.
A: Loving your Dad wasn’t a mistake for me sweetheart because of our love you were
formed. I know I may not be a good mother but I never stopped loving you, my only
daughter. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to stop the gap between us. I’m so sorry I’ve been a bad
mother. I’m sorry Jolie.
Arah hugged Jolie and kissed her forehead.
A: Mommy loves you.
20th scene (school)
Jolie was about to go to her classroom when she saw Angelie and Joyce laughing
together. She sighed and said, “I can do this.” She walked near them.
J: Guys can we talk?
(silent and looked at each other)
A: Sure.
J: Guys I’m sorry I’ve been so stupid. I was blinded by popularity and sorry for rejecting
you. I know it’s been a stupid thing rejecting my best friends to them. Will you forgive
me?
Angelie and Joyce looked at each other.
J: In one condition.
A: Let’s jam.
Jolie and her friends was about to start a jam when suddenly the 3 girls walks towards
them.
Sasha:” Uhm .. Jolie.. We are here to apologize for all the bad things that we did to you.”
Tiffany: “ Yes Sasha’s right we’re sorry for using you”.
Jolie then smiled to them and said “ It’s okay I’m sorry too.”
Jes: So friends?
A,J & J : “FRIENDS!!”
They start the Jam
21st Scene
The girls then approach Max’s friends and whispered their plan. The boys agreed to their
plan.
While was waiting for his service, the boys abducted him.
Max woke up.
Then Jolie sang a song.
Max looked at her and smiled.
Jolie: I’m sorry Max I know I was wrong and I’m sorry it takes too long for me to figure out
my mistakes.
Max hugged her and said “It’s okay I understand, at least now you know your mistakes.”
While Jolie and Max were looking at the sunset her friends appeared and splash water to
them.
A: Hey! You’re too much cheesy!!
(Running)
Ending
Happiness?
It’s when you have the person you love, love you. It’s when your friends give you
strength in life’s struggles and your mother who always held you high when you are
down. I may not have the perfect life but with these people, I am happy and contented.
Thank you God for giving them to me.
