APPLICATIONS
Used for scrapers launching / receiving (godevil) in the transport pipelines for gas, oil and its derivatives, water, etc.
They are meant for the scrape, the removal and the transport of the wastes deposited inside the pipes.
They also can be used for the transport of solids in the form of powder, of viscous liquids (cellulose), for the
simultaneously transport through the same pipe of two different fluids.
BENEFITS
In most cases eliminate the need to use the godevil launching / receiving stations.
Allow the use of different types of godevil (PIG)
Depending on the mounting in the installation, the same type of valve can serve to the scraper launching or to the
scraper receiving.
DESIGN
Designed on the basic structure of a valve RSD-BB type (block and bleed ball valve produced by FEPA) the valves
RSD PIG type benefit by all the functional advantages offered by it.
The basic construction is of a 2/2 valve, additionally provided with a lateral aperture (the place through which the
scraper is introduced and removed, and of a grid on one of the outports (with function in the scraper’s stop)
FEPA offers this type of valve in two versions:
-by pass at the insertion and the evacuation of the scraper, the fluid can still flow through the pipe
-shut off at the insertion and the evacuation of the scraper, the fluid’s flow is stopped
FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Nominal diameter between DN50 and DN600 inclusive
Nominal pressure between PN16 and PN150
Materials – carbon steel or stainless steel for the valve’s body, stainless steel for the ball, virgin or additived PTFE
for the ball sealing gaskets, rubber compatible with the working environment of the other gaskets.
