THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE! PLASMODIAL SLIME MOULD!
SPECIFIED AUDIENCE! My target audience is that of a late teen to adult one. This reflects solely from the addition of the Advanced HUD that will select various elements as the animation is underway. The genre this looks to pitch to is the Science Fiction genre, the musical score that is in mind combined with the use of the HUD and free space included in my concepts, the animation will act as a concept show-reel of the lifecycle. Science Fiction is very popular these days and the integration of elements introduced in After Effects to illustrate actions on screen is a Hollywood must to grab the attention of the audience. !
VISUAL CONCEPT! The idea for my concept originated from initial research into films such as Iron Man, Star Wars and Tron, where the actions on screen are displayed as information to the characters via the use of complex HUD and Holographic designs. I had decided early on that I wanted to treat the experience as a visual step by step journey that was simplistic yet fine detailed with text elements and shapes merging to form vital information to transfer to my audience. After previewing enough primary research I decided to move toward a more monotone colour palette, the designs would flash and turn opaque as they are scanned by my HUD and reveal their inner workings. Much like blown up schematics from a Haynes manual. !
