Distribution:
Distributors are selected on the basis of infrastructure and relevant experience. The
objective of distribution is 7 to 8km radius coverage.
Selection of distributors:
Relevant Experience: Needs to have prior experience in FMCG Sector
Infrastructure:
a) Go downs /Storage space as per territorial requirement
b) Delivery Vehicles
c) Salesmen/ Personnel
There are five distributors in the Lahore region who have the responsibility of
distributing Meezan oil to different areas of Lahore. Distributors need to have a
proper infrastructure in order to carryout distribution of FMCGS products.
Following are the distributors along with regions for the distribution of meezan oil
Syed and brothers cover 650 outlets in Mughalpura, Cantt, Saddar and Tajpur
Arsal brothers cover 900 outlets from GT road Bhagwanpura, Shadhbagh and kila
lakhansing
Abdullah Traders cover 700 outlets from Ichra, Samanabad and Gulshan Ravi
Faizan Traders cover 350 outlets from Karim Park, Amin Park, Kasur Pura,
Delhigate, Bhati gate and Lahori gate.
Bilal Brothers 1 cover 650 outlets from Johar town, Wapda town, township, green
town and model town.
Bilal Brothers 2 cover 700 outlets from Defence, Walton, Ghazi Road, Chungi
Amarsadhu and Ferozepur Road
Bilal brothers 3 cover 50 outlets from Wahdat road, shah kamal road, shadman and
Islampura.
Problems in Distribution:
Invasion of Territory: Certain ASMs indulge in invasion of neighboring
territories. They undercut their margins and dump their goods there to increase
sale. This is mainly due to higher targets given.
