 Shall implement the syllabus particularly in new emerging Digital/ Electronic Media—Television/broadcasting in tune with the academic goal of the department;  Shall coordinate the workshops, guest lecturers, special sessions; making schedule for regular classes, exercises and guidelines, besides taking regular theoretical and practical classes;  Shall be responsible for designing day-to-day implicational aspects of academics;  Shall be especially responsible for regular upgrading and assessment of students;  Shall ensure proper utilization of existing physical & human resources;  Shall prepare and notify prior programming of curriculum for the calendar year and weekly routine;  Shall prepare a roster indicating engagement of all members of Faculty covering core programme;  Shall suggest suitable speaker/trainers for specific area of training;  Shall advise and assist in development of syllabi programmes, training materials/aids suited to the needs of students;  Shall prepare notes, report to HOD/Reporting Authority reg. field problems to modify/draft operational instructions;  Shall identify training needs, plan, formulate and execute training programmes within the framework of guidelines of the Institute;  Shall generate related statistics for onward transmission to Tutorial, conduct written/practical tests and prepare reports thereon;  Shall supervise, co-ordinate and ensure completion of courses on schedule;  Shall make arrangements for holding examination(s) and/or ensure submission of sessionals;  Shall take necessary follow up action for expeditious publication of results;

 Shall look after the maintenance job of different equipment (except computers) of all departments;  Shall adhere to statutory requirements in respect of maintenance of all Equipment and Machineries;  Shall ensure Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) of the respective Equipment of all Departments;  Shall be responsible for Monitoring, Assessment and Supervision of the maintenance/service carried out by different specialized firms/service providers of different electronics equipment and all other Equipment under AMC;  Shall carryout preventive maintenance of equipment/electrical gadgets for smooth functioning of the academics;  Shall design circuits/measures for repairing equipment as per requirement;  Shall offer technical expertise during the process of selection/procurement of equipment and specialized servicing agents/personnel;

Duties Shall be responsible for taking dictation in shorthand and it’s transcription, mailing correspondences, filing papers, making appointments, arranging meetings and collecting information and to assist the Chairman/Director in their day-to-day activities; Shall keep liaison with the Ministry of I & B, Media Units, Film Personalities, Members of SRFTI Society, Governing Council and other Committee Members; Shall attend various meetings of the Institute chaired by the President and Director of the Institute and to prepare minutes of all those meetings; Shall receive and open mail and submit it to Chairman/Director for information and further action; Shall maintain diary to note time, date and place of meetings and other engagements for Chairman and Director; Shall remind Chairman and Director of engagements and accompany them, if required; Shall attend to routine enquiries in person or over phone; Shall receive visitors and arrange their interviews with Chairman and Director. Shall keep important and confidential records; Shall attend to routine correspondence on behalf of Chairman and Director; Shall perform such other duties and functions as assigned to him by the Chairman and Director, from time to time.
