For Immediate Release September 9, 2011 MusicGarage.Org to Host Auditions for 2012 Outdoor Concert Season Organization Creates Performance Opportunities For Utah’s Musical Youth
Salt Lake City, UT – MusicGarage.Org, a music advocacy, training and mentoring organization is auditioning intermediate-to-advanced musicians and emerging bands, 18 years and younger for the 2012 outdoor concert season now through September 30, 2011. Since 2009, the affiliate program of the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance organizes youth into bands and coaches them weekly while also coaching emerging youth bands for performances at Deer Valley Amphitheater, Utah Arts Festival, Uncle Uncanny Music Festival and Desert Rocks Music Festival and more - statewide. MusicGarage.Org youth musicians work through the fall and winter seasons toward the bigger shows in spring and summer while rehearsing and performing at the organization’s new 1,500 sq ft soundstage and rehearsal studios in Salt Lake City – as well as at special events and other indoor venues. WHEN: WHERE: COST: Now through September 30, 2011 MusicGarage.Org, 389 West 1700 South, Unit E, SLC, UT 84117 Auditions are free. To perform, youth music enroll. Fees are on a sliding scale based on $10/hour that range from $100-$175/monthly based on income. Scholarships are available for intermediate to advanced youth musicians enrolled in Public School Lunch programs.
