“Pro-Choice” Violence and Illegal Activities in Washington

Malicious Mischief and Disorderly Conduct 2006 was the year pro-abortionists all across the United States decided that they did not want to allow pro-lifers to exercise their free speech rights on college campuses. There were dozens of incidents of pro-abortionists from various colleges and universities destroying pro-life displays and even physically assaulting pro-lifers at Harvard, Princeton, Northern Kentucky University, Western Washington University and on many other campuses. In every case, the pro-abortionists seemed to think that it was their absolute right to commit this kind of violence, and, without exception, they were astonished when they were charged with crimes. On May 2, 2006, David Janus Zhang, a student at Western Washington University, decided he did not like the Genocide Awareness Project display on his campus, and decided to take matters into his own hands. First, he shouted at the pro-lifers tending the display and made obscene gestures towards them. Then he jumped over the three-foot-high fence surrounding the display and completely destroyed the GAP display, which cost $2,700. Dave Doughty, assistant chief of the Western Washington University Police Department, said that Zhang "went on a rampage," tearing and destroying the elaborate display of posters and billboards. He jumped back over the fence and was greeted by a cheering crowd of other “freedom-loving” pro-abortionists. Police arrested Zhang and lodged him in the Whatcom County Jail, then charged him with malicious mischief and disorderly conduct. Some measure of swift justice occurred in this case, unlike others; on July 27, 2006, Zhang pleaded guilty to third-degree malicious mischief. The Court sentenced him to 180 days in Whatcom County Jail with 170 days suspended and 24 months of bench probation, and ordered him to pay restitution of $4,080.40 and write a letter of apology to the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform.

First-Degree Solicitation to Commit Manslaughter Charles D. Young was in a tight situation. His girlfriend was going to give birth to his child in just a couple of weeks, and he had told her that he wanted nothing at all to do with their baby. So he decided to take care of things the "pro-choice" way. In October 2006, he told a classmate about his plans to kill his baby, and the classmate went to police, who arranged a sting. Young offered a hit man $3,250 to hurt his girlfriend so badly that she would miscarry. He also said that he didn't care whether or not she herself survived the attack. Unfortunately for Young, the "hit man" was an undercover police officer. Young pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree solicitation to commit manslaughter and, on April 3, 2007, was sentenced to 76½ months in prison for the attempted “hit.” References: "Teen Tried to Hire Hit Man to Kill Ex-Girlfriend's Fetus." Second-Degree Murder James L. Sanders and 15-year-old Elaine Sepulveda were expecting a baby, and Sanders was not at all happy about it. On the night of November 6, 2004, he met with her "to talk about it." There was apparently a disagreement over Elaine's pregnancy, because Sanders, as he confessed to police, hit her in the head and then could not revive her. Then he buried her body in the compost pile behind his grandfather's home in Oak Harbor. Sanders had wanted Elaine to have an abortion, but she had repeatedly refused to kill her preborn child. Jacki Madison, Elaine's best friend, said that "I don't think he was ready for the child and she was, and it was a rift that happened between them." Sanders pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder and was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison. Reference: April Zepeda. "Remains Still Not Identified as Missing Teen." Possession of Child Pornography, Advertising Child Pornography and Negilgence (2 incidents) Abortionist George Elliott Kabacy had even more dirty little secrets than your average abortionist. He was well-known because he had been one of the “Deadly Dozen” abortionists identified by prolifers on a poster in January 1995. At the time, he aborted preborn children for Planned Parenthood of the Columbia-Willamette and the Lovejoy Surgicenter abortion mill, both in Portland, Oregon, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) , among the inevitable splash of publicity, offered Kabacy and the other abortionists on the poster bulletproof vests and other means of protection. In 2007, the abortionist was indicted on child pornography charges after another child porn suspect in Georgia provided his e-mail address — [email protected] — as a source of the material he had received. FBI Special Agent Ryan Bruett said that investigators traced this e-mail address to Kabacy's home and linked it to hard-core sexual images of prepubescent children on the Internet. Kabacy had more than 8,000 images of hard-core “kiddie porn” on his computers and compact discs, many depicting children under the age of twelve having sex with adults, and some even depicting them being raped by animals. The abortionist had also expressed to others his desire to have sex with children. When the FBI searched Kabacy’s home in December 2006, Agent Bruett said that "Dr. Kabacy asked what would happen to him. I responded that if we found any child pornography, he would be placed under arrest. He responded, 'You will.'" The agents found a number of compact discs showing young children in sexual situations, and placed the abortionist under arrest. At the time of his arrest, he was working at the Sound Choice Health Center abortion mill in Olympia. On November 29, 2007, he entered guilty pleas in United States District Court in Tacoma, Washington, on charges of possessing child pornography and advertising child pornography. On July 11, 2008, the Oregon Medical Board suspended his license to practice medicine because he was incarcerated, and, on October 16, 2008, revoked it. At least Kabacy didn’t get away with a slap on the wrist, as so many abortionists have. On April 9, 2008, United States District Judge Franklin D. Burgess sentenced the abortionist to 78 months in prison, ten years of supervised release, and a $10,000 fine. He must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. During Kabacy’s trial, Assistant United States Attorney Vince Lombardi stated that the abortionist traded images of child pornography the way other people trade baseball cards. Lombardi said that Kabacy “traded pictures of children being subjected to rape and degradation,” and he noted that the amount of child pornography was one of the largest collections prosecuted in the Western District of Washington. “It’s the product of work, lots and lots of work, to collect that much [kiddie porn] and burn it onto CDs.” Interestingly, many news articles about Kabacy’s “kiddie porn” spent more time talking about “prolife” violence that had occurred more than a decade ago than about his convictions. And, of course, they never mentioned that he was an abortionist, only calling him an “ob-gyn.” In fact, Kabacy made pro-lifers ill when his lawyer wrote that Mr. Kabacy has no prior criminal history at all. Instead, he has a well-documented history of providing medical services to the people of Oregon and Washington in the face of grave personal danger. ... His life history is one of dealing with adversity and acting responsibly in the face of such, not running away. Of course he didn’t run away. There was way too much money to be made! So there you have it. Abortionist child pornographer as pillar of the community, and church-going lifesaving pro-lifers as skulking undesirables.

Predictably, not a single “pro-choice” group condemned Kabacy’s perverted tastes and brutal exploitation of born children. Earlier, Kabacy had been responsible for the deaths of at least two women. On March 21, 1988, he failed to send a tissue sample from Tamara L. Willis to a lab, resulting in her malignant melanoma not being diagnosed. She was hospitalized in September of that year, and finally died on January 28, 1989 after months of pain. On June 5, 1992, Kabacy did a tubal ligation on Gwendolyn L. Ray-Yarbour, and she died the next day of complications. References: Gene Johnson. “Well-Known Wash. He was carrying on an adulterous affair with a co-worker at Providence, and she became pregnant in 2006. So he put his skills to work and aborted her secretly, making sure not to keep any records of the procedure that might incriminate him. After he admitted misconduct in this case, the Washington State Health Department slapped the abortionist on the wrist. It fined him $3,000 (about one day’s income for a busy abortionist), required him to attend ethics training, and placed him on probation for three years. This, of course, meant that he could go on performing abortions to his heart’s content. Aggravated Murder (2 counts) According to official police documents and media reports, the following events occurred in and around Seattle, Washington. Daniel Thomas Hicks lived with his girlfriend, Jennifer Morgan, and their 13-month-old daughter Emma in Beacon Hill, a suburb of Seattle, Washington. Jennifer was pregnant again, and an ultrasound showed that her baby was a girl. Hicks was upset by this fact, and demanded that Jennifer have an abortion, but she refused. So, on December 21, 2009, Hicks murdered Jennifer and then, incredibly, shot little Emma to death as well. Hicks fled the scene and was captured a week later in Santa Cruz, California. He was charged with two counts of aggravated murder and pleaded not guilty on January 19, 2010.

Murder, Rape, Torture, Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Forgery and Theft [Bremerton] On September 17, 1999, Brodie Edric Walradt raped, tortured and murdered 22-year-old Beth Kennard, who was near-term and had already named her preborn baby Alexis Ann. He did not want the baby. He suffocated her and bludgeoned her with a log. Beth was murdered in her parents' Central Kitsap home days after she told Walradt to leave her and their preborn child alone. She had gotten a restraining order against Walradt. When Beth and her mother Carole were at the courthouse processing the paperwork, they discovered Walradt's extensive criminal record, which included theft, forgery and having sex with a 12-year-old girl. Carole said "We believed everything he said. He could con anybody into anything." Walradt received a life sentence for his crimes, and Beth's family members filed a civil suit in Kitsap County Superior Court against him, the state of Washington, and a state corrections employee. Death Threats (3 incidents) A Seattle pro-abort appropriately calling himself "Hick" threatened pro-lifers with death in an Internet news discussion group entitled "alt.abortion.inequity." The "Hick" asked for information on Seattle area pro-lifers, and stated "I am going to avenge this one [Slepian shooting]: An eye for an eye!" Another of his messages stated: "Let's kill the anti-abortionists! Anyone care to join me?" In a third statement he said that "It's time to hunt you down and make you pay!" Theft and Destruction of Property [Bellingham] The Human Life Alliance of Minnesota placed a paid advertising supplement entitled "She's a Child, Not a Choice" in the January 1999 edition of The Western Front, the student newspaper of Western Washington University. Pro-abortionists once again showed how afraid of debate they are when they removed and destroyed more than 500 of the inserts. References: "Students Steal Student Newspaper with Pro-Life Insert." Pro-Life Infonet, February 4, 1999; Western Washington Front, January 1999. Destruction of Property (2 incidents) and Vandalism [Enumclaw] The Enumclaw Human Life group had a 180-cross display set out for five consecutive spring seasons, from Mother's Day to Father's Day. During Sunday night of the 2000 Memorial Day weekend,

pro-abortionists tore down each of the four double-sided signs that carry anti-abortion messages, and destroyed nearly every one of the 180 crosses, breaking off most at the bottom. The large signs were built on sturdy posts that took some strength or resolve to knock over and break off at the base. The 180 crosses represent the number of abortions performed hourly in the United States. Reference: Lynn Keebaugh. "Vandals Destroy Human Keebaugh/Enumclaw Courier-Herald, June 13, 2000, page 3. Violation of Health and Safety Standards (4 counts), Inadequate Record Keeping and Medicaid Fraud Abortionist Ronald C. Margolis pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud. He had submitted claims for $55,000 for which he was not entitled. The medical board stated that he instructed his staff to administer expired injectable medications, reused gynecological instruments without sterilization, failed to follow sanitation procedures such as washing his hands and using gloves, regularly recorded tests as negative when the tests had not actually been performed, and that his emergency supply kit lacked certain essential drugs. The Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery of the Department of Health of the State of Washington concluded that Margolis was guilty of the commission of "an act involving moral turpitude, dishonesty or corruption relating to the practice of his profession" and fraud. Margolis was sentenced to 45 days in jail and ordered to pay $111,211 in restitution. Wenatchee, Washington
Death Threats (2 incidents) Daniel Adam Mathison was the first pro-abortion activist indicted under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act on April 11, 1995. He called the crisis pregnancy center First Way in Wenatchee, Washington on January 2, 1995 and threatened to kill workers at the office. He also called the National Life Center hotline in Woodbury, New Jersey and told an operator he was going to shoot pro-life protesters outside abortion clinics. He pleaded guilty to the charges and, on August 31, 1995, was sentenced to 30 days of home confinement, 10 weekends in the Chelan County Jail, and five years probation in the United States District Court in Spokane.
