Job Title: Project Manager Hudson Scenic Studio is one of the most successful providers of custom scenic fabrication, automation and painted drops servicing the live entertainment industry. Location: Yonkers, NY The Project Manager represents the company to clients and prospective clients, managing projects to the benefit of clients and the company and is responsible for selling, estimating, bidding and managing projects including project revenue and margin. The Project Manager will consult with senior executives on contracts and work collaboratively with Engineering and Production to collectively achieve company targets. Key Responsibilities Develop client / potential client relationships with business managers, scenic designers and other parties; ensure long-term relationships are maintained and establish new relationships. • Evaluate, develop and prepare estimates for projects based upon bid conferences & RFPs, including consideration of the competitive environment and the total expected variable costs. Consult with executive team to review strategy and pricing. Consult with Engineering and Production as needed. Submit estimates to clients and negotiate price, schedules, payment terms and general contract conditions in conjunction with Finance. Serve as contact for client team during construction and throughout the life of the project. Schedule and chair Project Kick-off Meetings with clients and attend Post Kick-off Meetings. Proactively provide timely and complete project information to Engineering and Production throughout the project; prepare job orders; notify Production of allocated budgeted materials. Review production calendar, monitor delivery schedule, milestones, and specifications (technically, financially and artistically). Monitor project costs, delivery schedules, and quality to ensure operating objective is met; use job margin report to review unallocated costs. Regularly compare actual production progress on floor to bids (and job orders) and to-date labor and job margin reports; proactively identify potential challenges and opportunities and collaborate with production management to identify and implement timely corrective actions. Prepare estimates for changes as needed. Review and approve purchase orders.

Qualifications Minimum BA. MBA desirable. A technical production degree or experience • Solid industry knowledge and an understanding of theatre, technical theatre and fabrication. • Understand contract terms and schedules; outstanding negotiating skills • Basic proposal writing and financial skills; ability to perform costing/estimating projections • Take a broad perspective and long-term view when making critical trade-offs. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD. • Understand and be able to manage the critical path of a project, end-to-end. • Multi-tasking though able to focus on tasks that require concentration and the highest quality. • Outstanding relationship skills; team oriented and highly collaborative work style.
