Dear Sir, I believe, with my qualifications as an Engineering Technician, leadership abili ties, passionate for problem solving derived from years of work experiences rang e from detail oriented projects. These projects include the Corps of Engineers, Salt Water Barrier project in Beaumont, Texas as the Field QA Manager & Field La b Manager for Zachry Construction as well as numerous municipal and industrial p rojects. I have always been motivated to learn more to become a more honest, re liability and efficient technician. My interpersonal and outgoing relationship has enabled me to work well in a team working as well as an independent environm ent. My ability to listen to and carry out detail instructions, prioritize and multi-task to complete projects in an efficient timely manner would be beneficia l to you and your organization. Employed as an Engineering Technician, since 1973, in the local area and working as a field supervisor, project inspector, and technician on major projects thou ght the area and varied locations in Texas and Louisiana. I may be of great valu e to you and your organization. Most recently I have been the QA/QC Manager with Fugro at the Motiva CEP project for the Port Arthur, Texas plant, with being responsible for setting up and mai ntaining the field lab with a A2LA standard and certification as well as insurin g that the technicians qualifications and equipment were kept up. My duties requ ired daily monitoring and auditing the testing in the field and test reports., B efore taking the position with Fugro I was the QA/QC Manager for ShawCor Pipe Pr otection at the Beaumont Concrete coating plant, lead technician for SAIC (Scien ce Applications International Corporation), at the Chevron/Texaco plant remediat ion project in Port Arthur, Texas and worked for Zachry Construction, on the Cor e of Engineers aNeches River Salt Water Barriera project in Beaumont, Texas, as the Field QC Manager and Field Lab Manager. I would be interested in working with you in any capacity to our mutual benefit. The following is a brief synopsis of my abilities and accomplishments. JOB-RELATED KNOLEDGE: Having worked as an Engineering Technician for over 34 years, I have wide range of experience working construction projects. Beginning work as an x-ray technici anas helper, using radioactive sources and UT equipment and continuing to achiev e NICET (National Institute of Certification Technicians) level IV certification s in Soils, Concrete, Asphalt and Highway Construction Materials. During this time I received training as a drilleras helper and logged on subsurf ace investigation drilling rigs, for major projects. My training included the ut ilization of both in lab and field-testing equipment. Training included the iden tification, physical properties, and testing procedures for construction materials from the subsurface soils investig ation to the built-up roof decks of buildings.

As a Senior Engineering Technician, having the opportunity to work construction projects from the original subsurface investigation logging, inspection and test ing materials of materials used in a verity of foundations types, masonry struct ures, blown on fire proofing and built-up roof decks installations. I have been charged with performing in-la b, field materials sampling, testing and investigation of soils, concrete, aspha lt concrete, masonry and fire proofing materials. My involved in local FAA, EPA, DOE, TxDOT, Corps of Engineers, industrial and co mmercial projects, provided me a wide range of testing and inspection criteria a nd experience. The duties included, but not limited to, project investigation, m aterials sampling and testing, progress reports, in-lab and field supervision of technicians and documentation of inspection and test results. Each organization having their own investigative, testing and reporting procedures that were requ irements to be followed. Experience before working as an Engineering Technician, included being trained a nd working as a photographer in the U. S. Air Force and working under a licensed plumber, as a plumberas helper. COMPUTER SKILLS: Knowledge of Microsoft(R) Words, Excel and Power Point and willing to learn othe r systems. EDUCATION: After graduating from Bishop Byrne High School, Port Arthur, Texas in 1967. I en listed in the U.S. Air Force the same year. While in the Air Force, my training include specialty field as Material Facility Specialist (Supplies), Still Photo Lab Specialist (Base Photographer) and Maintenance Management along with other t raining before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1973. I have completed 19 hours toward the Civil Engineering, Core Program at Lamar Un iversity and completing the basic AutoCAD course at Lamar Technical School. I have earned NICET level IV certifications in Soils, Concrete, Asphalt and High way Construction Materials and NICET level II in Construction and Laboratory Tes ting. I qualify for any ACI position as specified under ASTM E329, 6.2.4 and ASTM C107 7, 6.1.2, 6.1.3, 6.1.4, 6.1.5 and 6.1.6. A more complete resume has been prepared and available upon request.
