Fast food chain is one of the busiest businesses in the Philippines. We
Filipinos love to dine out even though we are well known for our cooking
skills, because we love to explore food.
We've chosen Galen's and Ramyun as our basis for comparison.
Galens has a good and fast service.
Ramyun on the other hand isn't that good and fast.

Server
Galens: There is a cashier, a server and a cook. The work is distributed
among them. They do their jobs accordingly.
Ramyun: The one who will get your order in the cashier is also the one
responsible in preparing your order. It's more of an all around task for each of
them.
Customer
Galens: Most of the people coming here are into "Tapsilogan" concept of food
which typically consists of "sinangag, itlog, and tapa" but there's more it
offers a lot of choices other than that, you can have sisig, pork chop, tocino
and etc. And one of the offers of this place is that their customers love, its
unli rice and gravy.
Ramyun: This place is for those who are into korean food, they also have
varieties of food but their best seller is their "ramen/ramyun" and side dish
which is kimchi.
System
Galens: While waiting for the order of the customer, there is television to
keep them busy.
Ramyun: There’s nothing occupying the time of the customers to distract the
wait at hand.
To shorten the queue, we recommend the following:

1. Get the customers started. People just want to get started and the sooner
you can make this happen, the better. A crew may list the orders of the
other customers waiting and give the list right away to the cooking
section. With that the order of the customer will be given in the shortest
time possible because while the customer is waiting his/her turn to pay,
his/her food is being cooked.

2. Improve the flow. The establishment should consider opening up a new
counter instead of only one cashier to move a greater number of
customers through the line as effectively as possible.

3. Occupy their time. While waiting for their orders, keep the customers
busy. They may put television, magazine, newspapers, or WiFi so that the
customers won’t get irritated while waiting.
