CDRoller version 7.70 Copyright (c) 1999-2008 Digital Atlantic Corp. All Rights Reserved http://www.cdroller.com 1. PROGRAM START AND CD/DVD ANALYSIS. To start the program, you can double-click on the CDRoller icon or run the progr am without any parameters from the command line. Insert CD or DVD into the drive . The program starts analysis of your disk immediately after insertion. If the p rogram can not recognize your disk automatically, click the Refresh button in th e Tool Bar, or insert the disc first and then start CDRoller. For more details, please consult the built-in help or print out User's Manual. 2. TROUBLESHOOTINGS. 2.1. In order to read the troubled, damaged or non-finalized ("still open") disc s, we highly recommend to use CD (DVD)-RW drive ("cd or dvd writer"), old CD/DVD -ROM drives ("cd/dvd readers") may not access to the lost data. 2.2. In order to read the non-finalized ("still open") discs, i.e the discs left "as-is" by CD/DVD/BD mastering program or standalone device (camcorder, digital camera, recorder), we recommend you to use the following method: - Start CDRoller without any disc(s), inserted into the drive(s). - Click the Preferences button. Uncheck the 'Detect disc insertion by Windows' b ox under the Browser tab in the Preferences dialog. Click the OK button to accep t the changes. - Insert your disc into the drive and wait for the end of the disc reading, init iated by another CD/DVD/BD related program or Windows, after the disc insertion - Click the Refresh button. 2.3. Select "SPTD interface" under the Browser tab in the program Preferences an d try to read your disc again. Separately, please try to set "Exclusive Access" under the Browser tab in order to avoid a conflict with "malicious" filter drive rs that can be installed by 3-rd party software. 2.3. If you installed a software from Fengtao Software Inc (DVD Region, DVD Idle , etc.), we recommend to UNCHECK 'Always read Full TOC' box under UDF Reader tab , particularly when reading the bad CD-R or CD-RW discs. 2.4. Some computer drives may not support our special methods. These devices may hang the program when analyzing the disc. In this occasion, please untick the ' Always use a drive capabilities' box under the Browser tab in the Preferences di alog, insert the disc and try to recognize it again. 3.TECHNICAL SUPPORT.
