"St. Augustine"

Emerson's longest poem written in Florida, "St. Augustine" captures his journey from New England, his two and a half month stay in St. Augustine, and his trip home again. (the young Unitarian minister was recuperating from Tuberculosis - a lung disease that killed most people who contracted it.)
