Help us identify potential safety improvements for railroad crossings in Durham.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is studying potential improvements to 18 railroad crossings between Neal Road and Cornwallis Road in Durham (refer to map for crossing locations). Safety improvements may include new or upgraded crossing equipment, new roadway overpasses or underpasses and railroad crossing closures. NCDOT is partnering with the City of Durham, Triangle Transit, and Norfolk Southern to conduct the study.
