Realization
‘An atheist told a religious man, “I will give you all the richness I have if you can count the times that God is not present.” The religious man said, “Sir, I will give you the countless blessings that God gave me if you can count the times that God is not present.” ...’ There are times in my life wherein I do not appreciate even the smallest things that I have. Oftentimes, I demand for something big or something better and still I am not satisfied. I admired those people in our makalipang because they appreciate the things that they have even how big or small they are. Sometimes I compare myself to others and envy them if they have what I don’t have. I sometimes ask myself if what is wrong with me that I cannot even have what I want. But they made me realize that life here in earth is not about what someone wants or what I want, but its about what God wants for us. This experience made me realized that what is important is not the things that you wanted to have but the things you wanted to share, that its important to appreciate the value even to the smallest things you have. I also realized that big things started to become small and small things are always part of the big and great things. I may not have everything that wanted, I may not live a perfect life but if it is offered to God then its always worth living. Life, no matter how great it was, if it’s not for the Lord then its worth nothing...
