Position: Overview:


Far North Dallas based Radio Network targeting the African-American community is seeking a mature, polished, reliable and experienced receptionist who will be responsible for answering multiline phones, general office duties and greeting guests and visitors. Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • • • Direct and/or screen calls from incoming phone lines to appropriate person or extension. Retrieve voice mail from company voice mailbox and take appropriate follow-up action. Notify staff of packages, faxes, newspapers and deliveries in a timely and prompt manner. Maintain daily log for incoming packages and visitors. Welcome guests and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Provide refreshments as requested and arrange transportation as needed. Create visitor badges and maintain visitor log. Maintain telephone conference call bridge line and conference room schedules. Send daily e-publication to Executive staff. Prepare, maintain and distribute internal company telephone directory, staff birthdays and coordinate monthly birthday celebration. Ensure kitchens are clean and stocked and that coffee is made upon morning arrival. Provide general office support including a variety of administrative and clerical tasks as directed by various departments.

Requirements: • • • • • • • • • • • Excellent phone etiquette and skills, professional appearance and strong work ethic. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, visitors and guests in person, via the telephone and in writing including email. Ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written & oral instructions. Ability to work well under time constraints in a fast paced environment and work overtime when necessary. Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively. Must be able to remain seated for long periods of time. Routinely moves and/or assist with large packages and shipments weighing up to 50 pounds Must be able to maintain a professional attitude & demeanor at all times. Must be reliable, punctual & maintain excellent attendance record. Must have reliable transportation. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have a good working knowledge of basic office equipment including copier and fax machine.

Experience/Education: • • • High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years experience as a receptionist operating a multi-line phone system. Entertainment, media or broadcasting industry background a plus.
