What is a report
A report is a logical presentation of facts and information. The information presented in the report is needed to evaluate progress and plan future course of action. Reports are written for different purposes they may be written for presenting accounts, reviewing performance, planning for future expansion, presenting market surveys, dispalying health and fitness profiles in hospitals. The ultimate purpose of reports is to provide foundation for decisions to be made and action to be taken
Some reports contain no more than a simple statements regaring an event , a visit or some circumstances with a note of action to be taken or taken More detailed reports demand research which may involve interviews,visits questionnaires, investigations
Skills required
Ability to record facts clearly and objectively The ability to interprete information and make conclusions Ability to present suggestions on ways in which a situation may be improved
