Requirement : Setting up of a Central Server to host Video Lectures
IMT Ghaziabad has a batch strength of 700 students, with approximately 540 students in the residential
2 year program at Ghaziabad.
The faculty strength at IMT is over 80, including permanent and visiting faculty. The faculty to student
ratio at IMT is one of the best among all Bschools in India and results in proper student mentoring and
learning.
Due to a high batch strength, students are divided into several sections and are taught by different
faculty members throughout the year. Different sections are allotted different professors, who have
their own unique approach and teaching pedagogy.
When students prepare for their end semester exams, it becomes tough for them to recall all the key
insights and learnings which the professor had highlighted upon in the class. Despite the availability of
Powerpoint presentations and class-notes, some important concepts and strategies cannot be fully
understood by the students. Due to a host of competitions being conducted across B-schools and in
various firms, students at IMT find it hard to cope up with their studies everyday, and end up missing
some important classes, due to lack of sleep and case submissions.
Our proposal is the Availability of Video Recordings of Classroom Lectures at IMT to the Full-time
Students
There are a multitude of benefits which such a mechanism will provide, both to the students and to the
College, as will be discussed in detail in our Business proposal.
