1. The topic: The Intimacy within Relationships – “Do Opposites Attract?” This research is basically to find out if opposites do attract in forming romantic relationships. We will explore the behavior or traits that are involved which actually attracted one person to the other person. We may find that many people are attracted to their opposites; it is because of these differences or opposite traits, behaviors, and temperaments sometimes may or may not cause problems within a relationship. The research will help determine if opposites are really attracted to each other and how important intimacy plays a valuable role within the relationship. 2. Hypothesis: The results that I expect to receive from this survey will allow me to analyze how well a relationship survives when there are opposite personalities or lifestyles. It will also give me an overview of how intimacy affects two people who are totally opposites, but despite the oppositions, what keeps the relationship together. Within a relationship I feel that you would still find couples do not have to allow there opposite behaviors, traits, intimacies and temperaments to become the fatal blow that destroys their relationship. 3. A description of population: The survey will be randomly of twenty people selected randomly who are in a relationship with opposite traits than their mates. Preferably Ten will be male and ten will be female to determine the intimacy of their relationship and attraction.
